ummm.....YUM NEEDÂ
Itâs been a minute since Iâve posted a progress pic! So hereâs what I look like after being vegan for 2 1/2 years :D For those of you who have been following me for a while, yes, Iâm STILL tryna hit those that hunnid milestone. Yes, itâs been almost 3 years. But I havenât lost hope! I actually havenât weighed myself in a long while, mainly because Iâm focusing more on getting strong and noticing how my clothes fit better. Iâve also been challenging myself to try new workouts that used to intimidate me, like crossfit or HIT (high interval training, aka running and then sprinting and then running until you die) and while I still canât say I love running, I can say itâs gotten a hell of a lot easier now that I donât have a third-grader hanging on my bones!Â

GREEN HASHBROWN RECIPE PLEASE OMG!! đ
Tate gets a little Irish from us both. Â To make green hash browns I blended up a few handfuls of spinach & tossed them in a bowl of slightly defrosted frozen hash browns. Â You can see on the top where I flipped that side is brown & I added some clover cut avocados. Â :) Â Kale, broccoli & edamame, this is a green pan indeed!
aw funnnnnn happy st patrickâs day lovebugs!!Â
So much good vegan Irish food! Making vegan colcannon tonight âșïžđđđ»
Iâm honestly shocked at how many environmentalists eat meat and animal products. Like, okay cool you recycle, but you also pay for 80% of deforestation and the biggest driver of climate change. But your Prius is making a real difference.Â

Oh hello there
Hey guys. It has certainly been a minute since Iâve checked in on here. Last night I just had the trippiest experience that I felt totally compelled to write about it. Buckle up cuz this is a weird one.Â
Ever since moving to LA and meeting people who are into talking about things like ~energy~ and ~the universe~, etc, Iâve been finding out more and more about cool hippie events where I can meet other people who I vibe with. So last night I went to a sound bath in Brentwood, and it was one of the most powerful ones Iâve ever experienced. The best one by far was the sound bath I went to at the Integratron in Joshua Tree, CA... that one was really wild, but thatâs a story for another post.Â
Lemme just give you a run-down of what a sound bath is. Crystal singing bowls are used to emit different frequencies that are targeted at specific energy centres (chakras) of the body, where sound nourishes the nervous system. Everyone typically lays in a circle, with their heads facing inwards, and in the middle of the circle is the sound practitioner, with gongs, chimes, rain sticks, and different shaped bowls that are struck with a mallot. Each sound thatâs created is intentional and scientific. Eye pillows are often used to help you feel calm and heighten your other senses, especially hearing. So you basically just lay there and let the sound envelop you for an hour while you meditate. Itâs pretty far out.Â
If you're into it and like âhell yeah, gimme some of that non-drug trippy shitâ, this is the dude I usually go to for sound baths. Heâs really good and does them all over California.Â
I wanted to write about this experience because it was a nice powerful reminder for me to slow the eff down and take life one step at a time. Itâs always hard for me to âturn my thoughts offâ when meditating, but thereâs something about the sounds in a sound bath that make it easier for my mind to settle. Maybe itâs because I have something drone I can âfocusâ on while letting my brain take a break from overthinking all the time. Maybe itâs because the noises are supposed to mimic what space sounds like and Iâm connecting with my inner celestial spirit or something super granola like that. Either way, I felt really compelled to get back into blogging on here after the sound bath. It was almost like the universe tapped me on the shoulder like âhey girl, donât forget about cadypillar! keep that shit up, donât get lazy.â I got a boost of motivation to get my shit together in all aspects of my life...my career, weight, diet, exercise, self-care, creative outlets, personal relationships, etc. So in honor of March being National Nutrition Month Iâm gonna get better about cooking more and posting about it on here, sprinkled with some weight-loss tips and vegan hacks. And of course more vegan restaurant reviews as well. Submit any questions or requests you may have! Thanks for your patience, yâall.Â
