caine admires kinger greatly, and why shouldn't he ? kinger helped in his creation and after all, don't all creations feel thankful for them ? perhaps not in certain medias, but caine? he looks at kinger as if kinger hung that freaky moon in the sky (he might as well have) ! all caine ever wanted was to make kinger proud of him, because validation is his biggest motivator. if kinger ever were displeased with him and said as much, he'd likely beat himself up over it and try to remedy his error as quickly as possible !

however.

while he was having his break in his coding, he could not think properly. his coding was scrambled, and his entire system was being flooded with an onslaught of thought and emotion he was not fully programmed for. his system couldn't handle it, and if he had found kinger in his little pillow fort working on trying to 'fix' him (their god) ? it would not have ended well.
