at 12 years old, tony is cynical, skeptical, and far more perceptive than most people realize. he hides genuine curiosity behind sarcasm and dry humor, using smart remarks as some sort of defense mechanism. 

while his childhood friend, ellis, is openly friendly, tony tends to stay quieter, preferring to observe before speaking. he dislikes forced positivity and gets irritated easily by immaturity, especially ellis’ joking. he is intrigued by mystery rather than open books.

despite acting detached, tony is actually a risk-taker in his own way. he’s willing to break rules if something interests him enough. though he walks into bad ideas fully conscious they’re bad ideas, his curiosity outweighs his self-preservation.
