“You certainly look like it, mate,” Cliff agreed with a little nod, letting the other air his frustrations while he slowly sipped on his own drink. “So, besides aiming for liver failure like this - what else do you do to … y’know … unwind and relax after you’ve spent all day teaching those bastards?” he asked, “Because it sounds like you’re out of balance, love,” he chuckled. He let out a soft ‘ohhh’ when the other explained what and who he taught, even though he didn’t really understand it, “So, why don’t you tell them to go fuck themselves?” he asked with a shrug.
“Thanks for the compliment.” Calden dryly replied as he placed the shot glass on the counter. The bartender came back and offered to take another order, but Calden refused. He didn’t have any intentions to get plastered tonight. “Out of balance, hmm? I suppose you have some point there. That’s what happens when you age I suppose.” Calden shrugged his shoulders, “I actually don’t hate my job as much as I convey myself to be.”
