“I’ve been through hell and back.” Calden flashed a dramatic glare over at the blonde. He reached over to the shot glass that the bartender barely just placed down in front of him on the counter and brought the glass up to his lips but didn’t take a sip. “I deserve a medal.” Still being overdramatic, Calden quickly raised his eyebrows then took the shot into his mouth. He exhaled audibly to help ease the burning sensation in his chest. “Life science, mostly for pre-nursing majors. They think they’re entitled to everything.”
“You certainly look like it, mate,” Cliff agreed with a little nod, letting the other air his frustrations while he slowly sipped on his own drink. “So, besides aiming for liver failure like this - what else do you do to ... y’know ... unwind and relax after you’ve spent all day teaching those bastards?” he asked, “Because it sounds like you’re out of balance, love,” he chuckled. He let out a soft ‘ohhh’ when the other explained what and who he taught, even though he didn’t really understand it, “So, why don’t you tell them to go fuck themselves?” he asked with a shrug.

Jake: It seems that I may need reminding of the reasons, why I chose to peruse to become an attorney?
Jake: The endless hours spent sitting at my desk, going through the endless amount of assignments, and notes, have turned me into a tediously exhausted, underfucked old man, in need of something to cure the boredom.
Jake: Thankfully, It’s nothing a trip to a bar and a couple of drinks can’t fix.
Cliff: Beats the hell out of me, I told you that were too pretty to be one of those.
Cliff: Well, well ... you've certainly come to the right place, old man.
Cliff: Damn right! And if you ask nicely I'll let you do a body shot off my abs.
Late Night Excursion
“Hmm..” Charlie pondered to himself as he looked at both floggers in his hand. He was at his favorite sex shop that catered to those in the BDSM lifestyle. The first floor was your run of the mill sexy shop that was frequented by many men. The lower floor however was entirely different. On most nights it welcomed those who were interested in the lifestyle and were looking to be matched up with a Dom. On special nights Dom’s from all over brought their Subs in for a little meet and great.. and more.
The store was closing soon and the activities in the lower floor were soon going to commence. He made his way towards the register after choosing the flogger of his choice. It was as he neared the register that he noticed some one standing in the middle of the aisle who appeared. “Are you lost?” He asked with a smile.
ooc: For those that don’t know he along with Charlie are BDSM dom’s. It’s a separate part of their lives but they have been known to share their men.
Cliff pondered around the sex shop, picking things up that looked interesting and setting most of them down. He hadn’t really come in for anything in particular - he’d seen an ad for the place on Instagram and figured, since it was in the area, he’d check it out - if nothing else, it would be fun. After all, you could never have a boring time in a sex shop, could you? After wondering around for a while, the shop clerk, either exasperated at watching him waffle about or genuinely thinking he was lost, told him that what he was “really looking for” was probably downstairs. Not knowing what that meant, he decided ‘what the hell’ and went downstairs anyway.
If Cliff had thought that the upstairs had been fun, it seemed that downstairs was where the real party was at. He looked amazedly at things he’d never seen before besides in a Fifty Shades film or a Pornhub search. He was busy poking at something he couldn’t quite figure out what it was when someone right behind him spoke and he leapt a foot into the air, “Oh, Jesus Christ, fella,” he laughed, placing a hand on his chest, “Absolutely,” he answered the other’s question blankly and with a little laugh, “But it’s bloody fascinating down here, so it’s the best time I’ve had being lost since I stumbled into that orgy a couple years ago,” he smiled, “You ... don’t look so lost,” he realized, “You a regular around here, mate?”
“So, are you taking me out or what?” Casey asked, smiling at the other. “You can beat around the bush and say you’re not sure, or we can have the best night ever. No strings attached, no complications. It’s up to you,” he said, quirking an eyebrow playfully. Despite his small stature, Casey had a strong presence, and he was the furthest thing from shy as he smiled at the handsome guy next to him at the bar.
“Well, you’re pretty forward, aren’t you, babe?” Cliff smiled back at the other who he’d bought a drink earlier, the chemistry between them had almost been instantaneous and it was clear how badly they both wanted to take this out of the bar and to the next level. “Why is it that even though you say that it won’t be complicated ...” he hooked a finger around one of the other’s belt loops and tugged his waist closer until it was pressed against his own, wrapping one muscular arm around Casey’s smaller frame, “... you seem like you’re going to be a lot of trouble for me?” he smirked, their faces intimately close now, “So ... your place or mine, beautiful?”
‘’ Oh sorry…didn’t mean bump into you…my bad.’’
“No worries, big guy,” Cliff laughed, holding out his hand for the other to help him up to his feet, “I was so busy bumping to my gym tunes that I should’ve been looking where I was going.”
“…I’ll drink to the fact that the semester is officially over and I have some free time until the next school semester.” Calden shared a toast before he brought the shot glass to his lips and quickly poured the drink into this mouth. He placed the shot glass onto the counter but kept his hand on it. Once he shallowed the alcohol, he squinted his face and exhaled deeply at the strength of the drink. “Strong, but well needed.”
“You look like you been through hell, teach,” Cliff noted with a laugh at the other. At first he thought it weird to see an educator drinking but then he thought about what he was like in school and suddenly the idea of teachers drinking made total sense to him. “Cheers to that,” he said, taking a swig of his beer as the other downed his shot, “What the hell do you teach that’s got you so whacked out, bro?” he asked, “ ... Maths?”
It was rare that Victor found himself having a day off, as he was used to always working - if you didn’t work on the farm, you didn’t get yourself a meal - but to spend his day off grocery shopping when he worked at a grocery store? Well, it was kind of pathetic. But that was how his life was going at that moment. Standing at the meat coolers, he looked at the various packages of fresh beef before he noticed someone standing near him, also appraising the beef there. “You want to know how you can tell if a piece of meat is going to be good?” Victor asked, deciding to make conversation as he picked up one of the packages that had a t-bone steak inside. Using his index finger, he gestured to the pink fat that was mixed into the crimson meat, creating a marbling effect. “You have to look for this marble coloring… it means that there’s more fat mixed into the beef, and it not only gives it more flavor… but it makes it more tender.”
Cliff whistled softly to himself as he made his way through the grocery store. It was that time of the week again; meal prep time. Tossing large quantities of vegetables into his cart, he hummed to himself as he decided on his carbs, not really having any particular recipe or plan on mind - usually just going with what was in stock and what looked good in store. He added in a large carton of eggs and then slowly wheeled himself over to the meat section for his protein. He picked up a few parcels of chicken breast and now moved over to the beef, picking up two of the plastic wrapped packages and comparing between them, unsure which one he was leaning towards. He looked up when he heard the guy beside him speak, “Make sure that it hasn’t expired yet?” he answered dumbly but earnestly. He moved closer to the stranger curiously as the other began to gesture at the texture of the meat, “Bloody hell, I’ve been eating meat my whole life and I ain’t ever noticed that,” he said, completely impressed and amazing, “How did you know that?” he asked with a wide smile, looking up at the other, “Are you like, a chef or something?”
