On the topic of ai.

I was listening to a musician friend of mine hate on ai music (go him!) and his one point that stuck with me was… why use ai when you could just strive. Strive to be better. Strive to learn. Strive to be something you weren’t before. And I love that.

I’m not going to lie and say I haven’t been tempted to use ai to create the way my character looks for a new dnd campaign. However when that thought originally popped up, you know what I did? I bought a sketch book and learned how to draw all the little details to make her. And I’m pretty proud of her because I strived to be better and make her.

I’m going to scream into the void at this point.

A friend had me help her write an email for a random schedule change. She said she liked the way I helped her word it.

Then with in 10 minutes she was consulting ai to have it write her email.

I… I… WHY DID YOU ASK FOR HELP IF YOU AREN’T GOING TO USE YOUR BRAIN NNNNMNNN

I’m so mad.

Learned a really cool feature of acrylic is the ability to build up on it- even if it’s slow. And how different strokes reflect light!

I’m real nervous for some reason to give Trash scales. 🫣 Also, totally thought I ruined that window with Ned.

Trying to remember the tape will come off eventually and so those details on it don’t matter as much.

Day 6 Frens: basically did the scales. Also, I almost finished The Contract (bottom left).

Went and saw the movie with my kiddos and hubby and truly appreciate how everything is filmed.

For those of you going to see it this weekend, have fun! Enjoy! Dress up, sing and dance! We have 7 people in our 11 am showing lol and my knee hurt so I was grateful for the lack of pressure to get up and dance, but we danced in our seats. 😄😄

I know, I know, it’s been a couple weeks. 😅

Seeing the movie almost gave me too much inspo, and I had to clean my house a bit/ be an adult so I took a break to think on things.

But alas, today we have made progress. I believe Trash is done.

I still don’t quite know what I want to do for the piano, I want it back lit, and originally it was supposed to be Blurryface. I just don’t know anymore.

Also I’m still trying to find a pose for SAI that translates in the silhouette. 😅

Please oh please ignore the second half of ATROFD… Ty was too short and I homeschool so I had to quickly make the height. 🫣

Added some window borders today, and worked on Ty until I hated it and had to start a redo. 🫣 Also gave the vulture some frens.

He did indeed find his drum. When Tyler breaks character or is trying to maintain a serious expression is when he can't help but crack a joke. I think it was very silly goofy of Robert Jordan to write a book series where time is a wheel only to have all fandom stuck in a endless loop of rereads.

It seems there are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the pages of these books.
