everythjg reminds me of them
can we just take a moment to remember michael offhandedly smiling at dean calling him a daddy's boy. like this was michael at the slightest offense about him and his father said to him vv
(and right after that adam converses with michael about his father which brings him a whole new perspective.) and it's like. you can see adam make an impact on his life in real time. he didn't get angry!!! he took it as a joke and smiled at it!!!! he was even probably reminded of adam's similar personality which helped make him take a joke even when it's about his father!!!!
and it's crazy because like. michael???? smiling???? the first time wherein michael ever smiles is in which he is so sure that dean will say yes because that's his destiny and he as the good son will obey his orders and continue on with the apocalypse and he takes pride in that and he is so so confident in that. but the joy shifts because THIS is michael the next time we see him smile.
the next time michael smiles is when he's with adam. and what's crazy is that adam's not even purposefully joking or anything, he's just eating and. Michaels just. smiling like that. just looking fondly at him. as if simply adam himself brings michael joy already. in this episode he doesn't even smile at the topic of his father anymore; instead he feels upset!! (because there's the bit of uncertainty that wasn't there before the cage!! but with adam it's like. he is So sure in his bond between him and adam and he is so sure the love is there.)
OK SO IN THE DRAFT FOR 15x08 THERES A SCENE WHERE ADAM AND MICHAEL WERE IN TOKYO TOGETHER.
we could've had midam tokyo date or maybe a date at shibuya crossing and then michael could've bought adam all the stuff he wants! like merch and whatever stuff he finds cute

Changed my layout entirely but it’ll probably change back after the concert lol
the thing with michael knowing at the beginning of 15x19 that god would kill him and then going back to him anyway is that like. yes part of it is him finding himself truly alone for the first time in eons (something 15x08 established he Did Not Want) and not being able to deal with it and falling back on what he knew best (being a good son) out of grief and misery at his only friend's death but i mean. he KNEW god would kill him. he ADMITTED he was hiding from him. he would have to have some active death wish going on there somewhere deep inside. so the question kind of becomes well why didn't he just kill himself and be done with it if he was so torn up. and well you see it's because he's in adam's body. and he could never bring himself to harm adam and it's ALL he has left of him. and then it's like okay well why didn't he just leave adam's body and then kill himself. and it's for the exact same reasons. if he left then adam's body would be cold and it's All He Has Left Of Him. like if we're continuing down this line of thought it's literally about how michael knew god would kill him and kind of wanted him to do it because he wanted to be put out of his misery and couldn't bring himself to do it.
i actually need michael and adam to come out of the cage unhealthily codependent. theyve spent 1200 years together in isolation sharing a body. their very essences were intertwined. they literally cannot go back to bring separate entities. they share a body. adam goes and works his little job and goes to school. michael is there. the winchesters call them and michael deals with it while adam is there in the backseat. at times theyre more adamandmichael than adam and michael. theyve shared all their memories enough that sometimes its unclear whose are whose. i have full confidence they feel each others pain to some extent. they aren't separate anymore.
