like itd be so easy to force three into the role of The Dead/Murdered One but its so much more interesting to make her and four and the algebraliens as a whole a group of people grieveing eachother..and one. like in a sense it was one who was killed that day, because three got to live a life with two people she loved and trusted, but One was the person who had a burial. who lived in the past tense.

"three died" three died in the literal sense sure but four never had to grieve her, she was right there, whenever he wanted to see. same goes for x. five, nine, eight, ten, all of them grieved the life they had with her, but three was still alive to them. just somewhere else.

One is the one they sat by the lake and thought about, the one they mourned. her soft smile from the corner of rooms, her small and hesitant voice. one is who makes their throats close up when they realize theres someone theyll never get the chance to know. one is who they watched be buried, and they all clung to eachother after and cried. people-the fandom- wanna pretend three died, but i dont think any of the algebraliens would ever think of her that way. three is someone they missed but they could hypothetically see whenever they wanted, one is who they had to come to terms with never ever speaking to again.
