With The Mountain coming out tomorrow I'm already overthinking what exactly the video is gonna be like and I need to get this out of my head. Welcome to skip 🤍🩵

A fan poster by Artemon_az got me pondering what if the 4 characters we see in the trailers (alongside the band) are gonna be specific to each band member and what their journey brings them during their climb of The Mountain.

The snake (dunno if that was confirmed to be Kaa or not) above Murdoc that yanks him in the teaser & the promo cover of Rolling Stone. Fitting for a character who is insanely snake getting their comeuppance/lesson by one.

The ferryman above Russel, who looks weary over his shoulder in this promo, might put Russ through his whole traumatic experience with death itself. Could be why the Del cameo in this art happens too?

And because of these two, it has me curious if Noodle and 2-D could have something to do with the snake oil salesman & the tiger respectively?

Would 2-D end up getting drugged once again thinking the snake oil is a miracle cure for... I dunno, migraines or itchy buttcrack- idfk (I could suggest his libdo if they still humor the 'sex symbol of the band' thing with him.) Snake oil salesmen make easy gains through the gullible and 2-D's character fits that criteria. (I say this lovingly as the pathetic simp I am.)

But Noodle... I'll be real, I don't have a clue what the Tiger could correlate with her. Tbh, I'm still learning and trying to understand what kind of character Noodle is in phase 4 and on so I'm drawing blanks. If anyone can come up with something, that'd be wicked and would love to hear!

Sorry. I'm overthinking again and felt a need to ramble out of excitement. Maybe the video will do more with religious figures and the afterlife rather than whatever I spewed. Perhaps it's just a bunch of walking to three songs off the album. Maybe they all get crushed by a piano at the start and travel the mountain to get back home to Kansas and find out they had everything they needed was in them all along. (I'm being facetious)

I don't fucking know. You can't predict shit with this band and I love it. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.⛰️🌄

The only thing I can think of regarding Noodle and the tiger is that she’s had a bit of a cat motif going on since phase 4 (her outfit in Strobelite, her pet cat Katsu, and she even dressed like a tiger in that song machine art). Also in the new mountain art of Gorillaz with all the collaborators, each character has an animal near them. 2D has a monkey on his shoulder, Russel’s riding an elephant, Murdoc is sitting next to a wild dog, and next to Noodle is a black panther. So basically Noodle really likes cats lol

I FORGOT ABOUT THE STROBE LIGHT VIDEO & THE PHASE 6 FIT egg oh my face-I'm a fake fan😣 oh she is absolutely rocking cat notifs. I wonder if it could have to do with something regarding her past perhaps? I think the Almanac's Chronicles of Noodle could have something?
