Rayla lay on her bed, staring at the wall. She knew she should get up, wash, or eat or do something but she couldn’t bring herself to. She didn’t think it was possible, but it felt like her life was falling apart even more.
He knew how low and despicable she was.
He was pulling away from her, clearly still willing to comfort her, but he was truly beginning to distance himself now.
She kissed him and he hadn’t kissed her back… he’d pushed her away.
The ache of it hurt more than anything else, sharp and piercing in the middle of her chest.
She hated Callum knowing.
