Happy Black History Month. So I'm in danger of being evicted. Okay so here's my sob story. I live paycheck to paycheck and in December my dad had a stroke so I went to Cleveland to check in on him (he's permanently blind in one eye now but otherwise he's okay). So in order to do this I had to miss about 7 days of work. At this time I was working two jobs at around 50 hour weeks. so missing a check meant being late on rent while having other expenses I couldn't keep up with. I returned to New Orleans in late December and was offered a higher paying job with more hours so now I had increased my working hours to 70 a week (my sister does 80 my bipolar ass could pull it off right?). anyways I ended up getting fired from the new job because I was exhausted everyday and showing up 10 to 15 minutes late but I got a raise at my first job and I'm in talks to get a promotion so yay. but I'm still behind on my rent and I've been scrambling to find a loan, side hustle that won't risk my first job, a miracle and I'm coming up short and it seems like everywhere I turn I have an unexpected expense. I just need to get over this last hump. I can't even afford to move because paying the back rent would be much cheaper than hiring movers, paying first and last month's rent, finding affordable housing
tl;dr I don't want to be homeless please help me. also I'm sorry I'm failing at being an adult and I have to keep having my handout 😔

help an autistic transmasc 19 year old eat
hi, i feel guilty for posting again but i really need help.
a couple months ago i got into a head on collision with a speeding driver and it totaled my car and left me injured and in debt. the insurance company ruled in the other persons favor since the police gave me a citation for not yielding (even though i did) and they let the other person off for speeding since it was rush hour friday. i have chronic back pain now and i owe the state an amount of money they refuse to tell me for damage to a crosswalk signal the other car did when they bounced off me
i have no money right now at all since i can’t work, have no mode of transportation, and have no income. i have my medication for this month but i know i won’t have money to refill it next month. i completely gave up on my HRT because of this and it makes me extremely dysphoric
im so anxious every single day because of food. sometimes i just can’t help myself from having breakdowns and crying because i just don’t ever feel alert or safe. i spend most of the day sleeping, partially because of depression but mostly just because i’m physically exhausted. i’ve lost a significant amount of weight this month and no matter how hard i try to stretch the money i have it just isn’t enough to be able to eat consistently every day.
if anyone could give me any amount, even a couple dollars, i’d be extremely grateful. if you can’t donate, PLEASE, PLEASE reblog this. i’m really desperate right now and i feel like i’m not going to be able to make it out of this without help.
if you need any sort of proof or confirmation that i’m telling the truth feel free to message me. in general, please feel free to message me- i’m honestly feeling really alone right now and some encouraging words would be really nice.

You can help give land back RIGHT NOW!
These are stunning designs by Wenatchi Wear which is an Indigenous owned business for stickers mugs, tanks, hoodies, t shirts and just generally sicc clothes.
What's more sicc than that is the go fund me run by the owner of Wenatchi Wear!
This is an opportunity for the Wenatchi tribe to buy back some of their ancestral lands.
Why is this so FUCKING important?
The current reservation is the Colville Confederated Tribe reservation which is a conglomerate of TWELVE tribes. (This alone is a disgusting violation of so many treaties and some day I'll have words about what it did to my family) More importantly right now is that the Wenatchi is a non-federally recognized tribe!!! This has many implications for the preservation of their culture but also limits their access to the resources both monetarily AND on the the lands they had treaty rights to that are part of their ancestral lands. This land purchase would put many Wenatchi people back on their ancestral lands and also funds a community center so their tribe has space to practice heal and grow their community and culture.
PLEASE DONATE TO THE GO FUND ME IF YOU CAN
Their venmo is Wenatchi_LandBack

PAKISTAN. Islamabad. 2014. Portraits of Afghan child refugees. Pakistan hosts over 1.6 million registered Afghans, the largest and most protracted refugee population in the world, according to the U.N. refugee agency, thousands of them still live without electricity, running water and other basic services.
(1) Afghan refugee Madina Juma'a, 4, poses for a picture, while playing with other children in a slum on Jan. 27. “Characteristic of their culture, the girls would always hide from me. They would observe and try to understand what I was doing.”
(2) Hayat Khan, 8, poses on January 24. “You can imagine how much time and energy it took to gain their trust. Wars broke them and forced them to leave their families and homes looking for refuge.”
(3) Afghan refugee, Basmina, 3, poses for a picture while playing with other children in a slum on January 25. “I don’t speak their language and they don’t speak mine but we have a mutual respect and trust which is built on positive energy and simple gestures that shows these children I am here as a friend.”
(4) Afghan refugee, Gullakhta Nawab, 6, poses for a picture on Jan. 25. “Slowly they understood what I was trying to do and they approached me to have their pictures taken.”

Updates on what's going on in Palestine:
Date of writing: June 2nd 2021
A palestinian worker was injured after an Is*aeli bus hit him.
2 Palestinian children were detained by the IOF (ages 16 and 17)
Is*aeli settlers set fire to Palestinian villagers' crops.
The IOF demolished many Palestinian commercial facilities in North East Jerusalem.
15 palestinians lost their homes due to the demolishing and confiscation of their tents and homes.
Multiple Palestinian children were detained in a checkpoint on their way to school.
(video of journalist Zaina Al Halawani after being released)
Reblog. Speak. We need to keep spreading awareness. Stop normalizing the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Stop normalizing the genocide that Is*ael is committing. Stop normalizing detaining innocent Palestinians, assaulting, and even r*ping them. It's not normal. It was never normal. It will never be normal. Speak up!!!
I know that it seems as though things cooled down in Palestine after the ceasefire, but they haven't. Sheikh Jarrah is now under blockade, no one from outside of the neighbourhood goes in or out smoothly, and sometimes Palestinian residents resort to sneaking in. The court order to forcefully expel Palestinians to replace them with settlers is still awaiting.
Silwan, also in East Jerusalem, has been facing severe colonial violence and segregation and is awaiting the same faith as Sheikh Jarrah, where the residents of 6 neighbourhoods out of 12 are going to be displaced and expelled by Israeli authorities and U.S. settler organizations.
Facebook and Instagram are deliberately censoring Palestinians, labelling almost every post, story, and comment as sensitive content. Not to mention the Israeli paid censorship of hashtags such as #SaveSheikhJarrah & #FreePalestine.
The Israeli MFA is investing millions of dollars to attack, blackmail, and censor celebrities and official bodies that support Palestine, pushing further the instrumentalization of antisemitism to counter the criticism of Israel, and Palestinian liberation. These tactics are both harmful to Palestinians and Jewish communities actually facing antisemitism, colonial, imperial, and racist oppression.
Palestinians in 48 (Israel- Occupied Palestine) are facing colonial oppression on multiple levels; Israeli Police are violently arresting online and offline activists for engaging in peaceful protests and for advocating for Palestinian liberation, Israeli's are firing Palestinian workers and company employees, while also boycotting Palestinian local products, and physical assaults in the streets are still very much a thing.
In Jaffa, there are approximately 300 forced expulsion orders for Palestinian houses, by the state-owned colonial real estate company ' Amidar '. An estimation of 20,000 Palestinians are now living under the threat of being homeless. This is just a continuation of what Israel and its neo-liberal colonial companies have been doing to Palestinians in 48 ' lands.
Since May 10th, more than 25 Palestinians were killed by the IOF (Israeli Occupation Forces) in protests in the West Bank. Since the "ceasefire" Israel invaded al Aqsa, detained 500+ Palestinians, surrounded Silwan & Sheikh Jarrah, demonized the entirety of Palestinian society in Israeli and right-wing (but not only) international media, protected armed Israeli civilians in assaulting Palestinians, and let Israeli civilians/soldiers/police officers who shot Palestinians dead, walk free.
Don't Stop Talking About Palestine.
Save Sheikh Jarrah.
Save Silwan.
Save Jaffa.
Free Palestine.
