I am not 100% sure. I saw some specific users getting deep into this and I just had this headache that grew in size. I don’t even know who the said person was that they were vaguing about.

It amazes me that people blast people publicly but at the same time it also doesn’t.

Generally, writing an abusive character/a character that does or has done abusive things paints the mun in a bad way. You can’t just explore dark subjects without people giving you discourse/issues over it.

Part of this is how you, the mun, handle how people give you unnecessary or necessary critiques on your character. My thinking is, if you don’t like how someone portrays a character, you are not obligated to talk to them anymore, or roleplay with them. Keeping your displeasure PRIVATE instead of PUBLIC is a healthy way to handle it, but shit normally gets spilled all over the dash for some reason, which causes discourse that no one asked for in the first place.

As a mun, you need to be clear about your intent with your character and clear with your character’s behavior. I’m usually making sure my partners are okay after my character does or says some hurtful things.

TLDR; discourse on evil characters and how they are portrayed and how mun’s deal with other muns having issues with said portrayal ppl not taking stuff so personal blah blah blah

the reality here is that lots of you will preach how much of a difference you’re able to make but when it’s you in the hot seat, in the moment, shit will spin out of control and you’ll find it out of your control

what I’m saying is that villains can be rped, but you have to really drill it in your heads what the thick, thick lines are ic and ooc, or it just discourages it ))

I am super cautious when logging into Vriska, and I feel like no matter how much I write in a disclaimer, or how much I try to make sure people understand my characterization and Vriska, that it’s a matter of time before people will see me as encouraging this bad character, or that I’m an extension of said character when I’m not. And since I just come on to have a good time, I limit who I play to protect myself. Sucks though, b/c that means my Vriska won’t get the development I could give her. Lmao o whale.
