I’m incredibly busy with work and just life shit in general at the moment right, but that doesn’t stop my mother going, hey, i know you were doing this bridging course
which, side note, she only found out about because my brother Xan told her - which normally I’d be really upset about but his son had just been born and blah blah blah, anyway -
Anyway, every so often mum will bring it up like, oh how’s it going, what are your plans, that sort of shit, right. so yesterday, I’m at work, run off my feet with deadlines and I get a text from her going ‘I just heard an ad about Uni X applications closing, did you know about this’
“i’ll look in to it this weekend, thanks!”
cut to now. it’s 9:45 on a Saturday night and I’m currently having a panic attack because the applications close tomorrow night and I don’t know what to do
I’ve completed the bridging course - which quite frankly I did to prove to myself that I can, I didn’t tell anyone about it at all - with an average grade of 78%. I’m happy with that, but theres the voice in my brain which sounds like a combo of my mother and grandmother asking “what did you have to do to get to the next bracket?” what a bitch. I did well. I’m happy with the grade.
the application process is shockingly simple, mostly because it’s an internal process, but I’ve got to pick up to 3 course and that’s it.
everything will be alright. I’ve felt run off my feet, sleep deprived and anxious for weeks (about work and family shit) and this is one thing off that long list.
application has been submitted
I cried a little, but now I just feel numb about it like “yeah, that’s done, I can’t do a thing about it now, so there’s no reason to even think about it let alone remember that you’ve done it until you get a email about the outcome in a few weeks”
