My PIN number to this day is my second grade best friends birthday. There are people I don’t talk to anymore whose families are still in my prayers. There are shirts I wear to bed from exes of 8 years ago who are married now with kids. And I haven’t found a macaroni salad recipe better than my college boyfriend’s moms’. Our lives are made up of so many people and when people become parts of our lives, some parts remain long after they leave. And in the same exact way, it’s comforting to know there are so many lives you’re still a part of that you have no idea about.

Disappear for some time, work on yourself, return unrecognizable.
you guys, what kind of soulmates au have we been living in all these years? what kind of cheesy romantic movie have we been watching? i mean, bob and eliza first met in an elevator 10+ years ago when they were 16 and 21. a few years later fate brought them back together when they got casted for leading roles in the same tv show. they became best friends. they dated other people. they slowly fell in love with each other. realized they were soulmates. got engaged. and then got married. they’ve been slow burning this whole time right in front of our eyes. they’ve been the definition of meant to be all along……… THE EXCELLENCE.

have i gotten around to talking about how amazing tangier was? there, i broke my phone, saw the most unbelievable sunset over the atlantic, fell in love with the mediterranean, ate so many tangerines, and had a dizzying romance with a beautiful boy i would’ve otherwise hated. it was glorious and my favorite city in morocco, though fez is close at its heel. initially distraught about my phone, i am now glad i had to rely on a disposable camera to capture it in images because this is how i think about it in my head, exactly in this coloring and lighting.
