I would like to take a moment and introduce you to my parents Yvonne and Frank. As you can see the outdoors and hunting are a big part of our family, and these two have been instilling a love of the outdoors for as long as I can remember. They are obviously having a stellar season this year. Considering that they predominantly hunt in Arizona they have a pretty amazing success rate. I count myself lucky everyday that I have such badass parents.
Each one of these shots is a first for them. Frank actually just got his very first Turkey this last weekend! The bottom shot is my Mom with her first Elk that I believe was taken near the end of last year in Northern Arizona. As much as I love the Pacific Northwest and all it has to offer I do get a little tinge of homesickness every time they send me a new pictures.

Outdoor Survival Hack: Carry a pencil sharpener with you to make quick tinder for starting a fire!
This is actually one of the smartest "hacks" I have seen in ages.
Got to spend my first day on a switch rod a couple weekends ago. Turned into a great day of chasing steelhead.
Too good not to share.

Throwback to Sophie’s very first campout. Pretty bad quality photo but too good of a shot to let go of. She was 9 weeks old in this photo.
