Watched a video of hollow knight lore! So i now know the endings! I will still attempt to beat Radiance and i’ll probably beat Pantheon 3&4 on my replay (since zote is dead and he’s killing my 3 runs every time) but its nice to not be avoiding spoilers so hard

Did watch like the video that i got recommended the most for a pre-silksong release video since i didnt even want to risk SS spoilers! I’ll watch another once i finish or get to a stopping point in ss

Okay hot take or no not sure

I LOVE boss fights with easy to follow attack patterns, and like yeah that could just be me saying i dont like being overwhelmed and dying instantly sure but getting better at the game made me realize how fun it is once i learn it!

Grimm for example (not nightmare, havent done that yet but im excited to do so)! I LOVE his fight! Its fast, its challenging, but once its down its CEMENTED. I further proved this by beating all three levels of his pantheon fight (the normal, hard, and one hit) in like 30 minutes tops with my sister in the room. Its challenging but ENJOYABLE. Same applies for Mantis lords, which i didnt even know about the strategy i learned for grimm (not attacking for a few tries, just to learn the attacks) but it was still enjoyable because it was easy to learn.

And where it doesnt get enjoyable for me ans i cannot help but rage (as a person who barely rages at games); things being thrown at me a million at a time, and attacks being layered and such, and yeah im talking about fucking ZOTE. Also some enemy arenas are like that too for me (not nearly as hard replaying but still) and also a looot of silksong bosses and general enemies feel like this where its just bullshitting me… Silksong is great but i will never like it more than hollow knight i am SORRY

But like full in mind that Hollow Knight is my first ever metroidvania (besides ori i think but that doesnt count because it was as a kid and i sucked and got no where) there were bound to be bumps,, I mean no wonder Pantheon of the Sage is horrible for me but Path of Pain i beat easily

I dont have much to say on this considering i was not a fan of him, nor in any fandom space with him other than vampires but i will say this.

Avid (and marm’s) behavior was irreversible. They harmed so many, not only close friends, but thousands; possibly millions of people who are their audience and who loved and cared about them.

And to their audience, please keep yourself safe. Be it mentally or physically, i know how harming losing a comfort creator or someone you watch can be to you. But first of all, dont blame yourself for watching them. Dont think “why couldnt i see it?” Thats the point. They manipulated and were vile; of course you couldnt have known. Its okay.

Take some time away from these spaces if you need to, talk to trustworthy people about it. This is important to you, even if you directly weren’t a victim. In the end, just dont let this destroy you.

You can get through this.
