The grand Church of Candles, crown jewel of the holy city of Candlethrone. It is rumored to be built above the gate to Hell itself. The Grand Hierophant embraces and encourages the spread of this rumor, as he considers it to be emblematic of his church’s triumph over evil. The tower in the center of the church is constantly under construction, being raised higher and higher over time. It is said that this central tower represents another tower in the depths of hell that serves as a prison for one of the Devil’s oldest and most powerful demons. Some say that the two towers are one and the same, and that the prison has grown so tall that it has breached that gates of hell and become a bridge between our world and the world of demons. The Grand Hierophant is much less accepting of this rumor, and vehemently denies any claims that the statue that caps the central tower of the church has been seen shifting poses.

A fresco that once adorned the walls of the grand Church of Candles in the holy city of Candlethrone. It depicts a confrontation between Poplar, holder of the Devil arcana (pictured right), and their sibling, the demon whose name reflects the arcana he held: The Hanged Man (pictured left). The current Grand Hierophant had this fresco torn down after his ascension as part of his initiative to rid the city of any imagery that casts demons in a sympathetic light. May the Hierophant’s candle burn long and bright.

Here is the grand evolution of Finley, the main protagonist of the comic I plan on creating! She has had a lot of different designs over the years, but I’m thinking that last one will stick.

Yooooooo first post on this blog! Figured I’d start with the main Character of my comic that I plan on making eventually! This is Finley, and she holds the fool arcana. I’ll elaborate on what that means later, lol.
