I haven’t posted here in ages, so I may post new art coming up. Also also, I do just wanna say, that I removed my previous blogs mentioned here!! That’s because I mainly wanna start posting and using this as my main blog. My old main blog isn’t bad but I have iffy feelings about past stuff I reblogged & such. Plus I’ve been wanting to “start fresh”-ish for a while.

Plus, there’s discourse that blog stumbled into / go into without proper thought & such that I wanna distance myself from. (That doesn’t include sharing fundraisers btw.) Especially as someone who gets stressed from that easily. Also also it’s just way more peaceful here.

I will stand by the fact that the art commentary community is one of those most rancid communities on YouTube. And no, I’m not talking about people who actually talk about art 99% of the time. I mean those people who talk about niche dramas 24/7. Literally a good 80%/90% of creators in these spaces are RANCID. Someone will call somebody else out, then turn around and out themselves as a terrible person too. It’s like a snake eating itself.

It just brings out the worst in everyone. I pity any child &/or innocent party who has dipped toes in (unwillingly or not) into that shithole.

I got an old iPad from my dad and I bought procreate on it! Finally set it up a couple days ago, here are some recent art pieces I did. (Mainly redoing OC’s)

(For context the art above was made ibispaintx and on an iPhone. I would trace over traditional drawings- with an iPad drawing digitally is so much easier I actually wanna draw digitally now oml)

It’s so frustrating how adults are being punished and forced to give companies their fucking ID’s because parents can’t teach their kids internet safety. They just shove an iPad or phone in their face and are too lazy to actually do anything else. (And everyone’s else’s ids get leaked because these companies are fucking liars who don’t actually delete any of the sensitive information they hold.)

I admit I was on of those kids looking into places I shouldn’t be and it kinda fucked me up. That’s why you need to supervise your kids. Not looking over their shoulder 24/7 but like give out proper internet safety and check what spaces their on. Not only that but kids need actual spaces where they can be kids!! That’s not social media!! I’m sorry but 13 year olds shouldn’t be on Instagram or TikTok they’re shitty toxic cesspit websites.

Obviously age verification isn’t about protecting kids, it’s about spying on everyone. However If these companies actually cared about protecting children they would make their apps 16+ in the first place or at least put in better safety measures. To you know- prevent child grooming, kids being doxxed, all that stuff. But if they did the former they would lose money by banning kids!! And with the latter, putting more effort into banning predators would be too much work apparently! They all wanna have their cake and eat it too at the expense of everyone else.

Age verification will explode in everyone’s faces, it’s just a ticking timebomb.
