Jardin feels like a tropical wild-west village with a flavor of Zen, located among breathtaking lush green forests and Coffee farms.
Take our FREE SHUTTLE RIDE to Canto de Agua (about 1 km from the village), a colonial-style hostel secluded in a pristine natural setting, away from loud motorcycles, yet a short bike ride away (you may use our bicycles for free) if you want to experience the local village life.
Canto de Agua is the ideal base for the wild adventures that you always wished for, or just to let the sound of the nearby river and the songs of exotic birds help you relax and recharge or chill out in a hammock. Bonfire nightly (weather permitting), all this and more (see below) at the most affordable price in Jardin.
We have private rooms, multiple dorms, all with ensuite bathrooms with real gas heated water (not the electric “suicide” shower-heads); we also have camping tents, or you can bring your own tent - heck, if you feel up to it or you’re on a super-tight budget, you can even rent one of our hammocks!
Most rooms overlook the surrounding jungle hills, and several coffee and banana tree farms. Lots of activities (see below) and areas to get back in tune with yourself. There is one communal kitchen inside the property as well as a lounge area with a fair-sized book collection (several languages), so you can brush up on your Spanish or read books about the beautiful pueblo of Jardin or many other interesting genre and topics. We provide WiFi throughout the building, with double Internet Networks and you can use our desktop computer.

HORSE RIDE TOUR:
If you want to horse/mule ride, then the Chorro Blanco tour (listed below) is what you’re looking for.
DAILY GUIDED HIKING TOURS:
All tours include: boots, lunch, guide, photos, insurance. Only one tour includes riding a horse (Chorro Blanco).
Cascada La Escalera (Hike only, no torrentismo - for torrentismo/rappel, see the ACTIVITIES sheet): Walk to the trail head and hike to a multiple stage waterfall - awesome views - bird watching - about 5-hour round-trip.
Coffee Farm tour: Vehicle ride to the coffee plantation, harvesting, processing, tasting...
Chorro Blanco: Vehicle ride to Morro Amarillo, 1 ½ horse ride, ½ hour hike to the water-fall and then back track the same steps - 5 to 8-hour round trip: 140K pesos (minimum 1 person)
Salto de Angel-Cueva de los Guacharos - La Escalera (Two waterfalls + cave exploring hike): Vehicle ride to the trailhead, approx. 3-hour hike to the Salto de Angel waterfall - then to the Guacharos cave - then to La Escalera waterfall, and then back track the same steps - 6 to 8-hour roundtrip: 150K pesos (minimum 1 person)
SPECIAL TOUR:
Chorros de Taparto (exclusive - low tourist flow- very special trip): A torrential pristine 3-stage waterfall in the middle of the jungle, which cuts through skyscraper-sized walls of solid white rock; awesome other-worldly views of the Antioquia batholith, bird watching: 2-hour 4x4 vehicle ride to the trailhead; 2- 3-hour hike to the highest stage and then back track the same steps- all day trip (must be in good physical shape)
Additional options:
Vegan lunch (for the meal break: real fruit juice, whole rice, “falafel” style chick-pea balls, serving of cooked vegetables, all wrapped in a boiled banana leaf) - NOTE: bottled water is provided during the hike. You can also bring your own lunch if you don´t select the vegan option. You can buy take out lunches at the village prior to the hike.
Yoga session to warm up before the hike. This yoga session lasts approximately 20 minutes and is an excellent way to prepare your body for the climb to the waterfalls. The session is led by a certified in yoga teacher at the trail head field. A minimum of five people enrollment is required.

Yoga Classes & Retreat
At Canto de Agua, we offer individual and group Yoga classes.
Our group classes are taught by Soizic Cifuentes, a professional certified Shraddha yoga teacher with over 20 years’ experience. Her technique is based in providing individual attention to each student, regardless of their level. Her classes are fun and exciting.
If you are visiting Jardin, you can join the group sessions scheduled on Friday and Saturday at 9 am. The price to join this 1 hour class is COP 15K (about $6 USD). Please contact us in advance to reserve a spot for any these classes.
We also offer Yoga retreats in an enchanting natural setting.

Go to Terminal del Sur and take either Rápido Ochoa or Transportes Suroeste to Jardín, Antioquia. Buses run from 5 am to about 7:30 pm - Please call or view their websites to confirm bus schedules and prices:

Take a bus to the town of Riosucio, Caldas
From the Riosucio terminal take the bus to Jardín, Antioquia. Keep in mind that the last bus from Riosucio to Jardín leaves at 2 pm.

Once you get to Jardín:
To get to Canto de Agua, from the town square, you walk up Carrera 3, the street to the left of the cathedral (when facing it), until you reach Calle 13, where you turn left. The street will turn into a dirt road that eventually reaches another dirt road, where you turn left again. Continue walking on this road until you see the Canto de Agua sign, and you have reached us! Keep in mind that there are no streetlights after dark.
Between 11 am to 6 pm, you may call us or whatsapp and if available, we can send the shuttle to pick you up at the bus station in Jardín.
If you prefer to take a mototaxi (called moto-raton here in Jardin), you can tell them to take you to Canto de Agua in La Salada.
