Oscar Wilde’s accent and word pronunciation written down by an audience member.
Knight: I have trained in all forms of combat and weapons since birth. I cannot be bested.
Some horsecock motherfucker:
Knight: … What the fuck
it’s kind of funny how we all sleep differently; i sleep on my side, my cat sleeps on his back, and bertie’s friends sleep on his kind and giving nature, that sorta thing

The Ghosts of Paolo and Francesca Appear to Dante and Virgil (1835), Ary Scheffer
I know, I know- I'm supposed to be working on the translation I metioned in the last post(s). I just couldn't resist sketching something! I've been watching a lot of Jeeves and Wooster lately, and this chap right here is heavily inspired by Bertie! In fact, it started off as a portrait of him, but I got carried away and it became something ( someone?) different; more personal, if you will.
I'm by no means an artist, of course, so I shall apologize for any horrors of technique you may spot here!
Page decorations by Latimer J. Wilson for The Ballad of Reading Gaol by Oscar Wilde, 1907.
Right ho! I'm testing my english by trying to translate Oscar Wilde's "The Ballad Of Reading Gaol" in my native language (I'll post the result, if it doesn't disappoint me).
It's not only useful to my vocabulary, but also to deepen my knowledge about Wilde, wich is one of my absolute favourite authors of all time!
The emotion that The Ballad leaves in me is quite indescribable. Nevertheless, I'll try and make a post about it one day. Cheers!
I’d like some information please!
fellas is it gay to declare your devotion for the rebellion you’ve never believed in just so you can die beside your homie
I was today years old when I learned that this is a synonym of "amazing". English truly never stops surprising me!
