...whyyyyy can't all period dramas be as innocent and romantic as Pride and Prejudice? Every time I find a new period piece I'm bombarded by "historical accuracy"....I already know women were treated like property and all the white antagonists were racists dick wads. Can't we see women of color wearing Victorian ball gowns and men being held accountable for their actions while still getting the vibes of a historical drama, just as a little treat. Who actually cares if its not accurate?
