See, the thing about forensics is, that without the follicle, they dont know who committed the crime, and when you donate hair, unless youre being scalped in the process, it’s only part of the strand, no follicle, so the only thing theyd be able to tell is that whoever did the crime was of X hair color, that they are human, and whether or not the hair was dyed because they thoroughly wash the hair after its donated so that nobody’s skin cells are being transferred. Also, unless your DNA is in the crime databases(you were a victim or perpetrator of a previous crime) then your DNA would be damn near useless.
