ROBO BITCH IS CANON NOW IM SORRY. WHO is general grievous?!?!??! never heard of him
OMG THIS IS THE BEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN
I know he's a capitalist asshole, but Wat Tambor is kinda attractive, right?
Disney can pump out as many spin-off shows as they want, but I’m just going to not care and fixate on the canon in my head for Admiral Trench. Lord knows they’re too cowardly to include gay characters that aren’t a background prop.
Anyway, he heard the word “pride march” and it wasn’t what he thought it was.
'velvette needs to get away from the vees! Redeem her!' babe. SHE IS THE VEES. she loves those horrible awful men with all of her heart (platonically but still) they are her favorite ppl in the world. She records them making out and spends 90% of her time following them around. I get the want for her to not be evil but God. Just let her be bad too. You can love her and she can also be evil. She loves where she is. She is in her element and she is. Happy. She is a bad person.
Just. Omg. Stop trying to depict her as someone who doesn't know anything and isn't actively supporting and being supported by vox and Val's horrible actions.
i fucking hate them
Theory time!
At first when I saw the teasers, I thought it was pointing to Vox going to betray or leave the Vees behind. After all, why wouldn't he? His ambitions are clearly not as wanted or desired by Valentino and Velvette. So why not drop the dead weight? So he'd betray them, take power for himself and it would lead to his downfall because as Alastor stated "He'd be powerless without the other Vees".
But now... after episode one, I don't think that anymore.
In the meeting scene, Vox goes into a bit of his backstory and explains he was once the leader of a group. Val quickly chimes in that this group was actually a cult (funny that Val knows that... looks like he knows Vox's human life a little too. They must have talked about it). Vox brushes it off and then says something very interesting about leading this "movement".
"And I was the center of it and I swear I never felt closer to being a god. That's a feeling I'd do anything to get back."
Now a good portion of this episode is focusing on Vox's ego, his narcissism and need for control and power over others. He wants to be drunk on being a god, on being someone who leads and influences others while being worshipped.
The line "That's a feeling I'd do anything to get back" feels like foreshadowing. Vox would give anything to get power. Anything.
I don't think Vox will betray Val and Velvette. Deep down, I think he does love them... as much as someone like Vox can love and treasure his companions/partners. He can't stand seeing Val with all the other sinners he sleeps with, most of all Angel and he's always humoring and supporting Velvette too. I do think he genuinely loves and cares for them.
After all, he doesn't hide his lust for wanting power all his own from them. He even stops to take notice of them and correct himself. Of course, they roll their eyes at it still. But they're used to it. Val even scribbles on his notebook about how Vox makes these power grab plans. Velvette doesn't look up from her phone once.
He trips up, but catches himself and tries to pull them closer. Why would Vox do that if he just wants power and the Vees already know him so well anyways?
All this is to say that while I don't think he'll betray Valentino and Velvette, I think he will forget about them and they will fall because of it.
Vox would give anything to be a god. But only one can be a true leader of the cult in the end. Going for such a power grab means other things will drop in the end. I think Vox will end up biting off everything more than he can chew and as a result, he will lose Val and Velvette entirely. They will either die, leave him when they can no longer follow him, or he will lose them in some way by the end of the season. The reason the Vees VAs aren't seen voicing for S3 may be because the Vees are gone entirely and that may be all due to Vox losing them and himself.
After all, I don't think Alastor is wrong at all. He's nothing without the other Vees. But he doesn't want to think about that, does he?
Ohhh that’s goooodddd
