GP Legend was a crapshow of the highest order -strictly IMHO of course- but I can’t hate on it too much, because it at least gave the world Lucy Liberty. I kid you not, I was obsessed with her when I was younger. I had sketchbooks filled with pages upon pages of Lucy drawings, and I even crafted an intricate headcanon -before they were known as such- to fit her perfectly into the X/GX setting. I would die happy in my end of days if Lucy made it into a new, canonical (read: X/GX timeline) F-Zero game, but then again, I’d love a new F-Zero game, period.

Speaking of which, it’s come to my attention that the GBA game -F-Zero: GP Legend- is on the Wii U virtual console for about $7 now. Despite it being derived from the anime of the same name, it’s not that bad of a game if you stick with the bog standard racing modes and ignore story mode. And hey, it also has the origin of my username, too (hint: it’s Lucy’s car).

So obviously, I had to draw my #1 girl again. It’s been a few days since I actually drew something, so I gotta get my sealegs back and it shows. XV

(ETA: Also, I just now realized the color adjustments washed out Lucy’s skin. Aghhh! That was not my intention at all, and I’ll try to fix at some point.)
