friendly reminder that characters don't need to be saints to be entertaining. and telling a story does not mean endorsement. art does not need to be all about morally good people.

IDK if this was meant as hyperbole but it's literally true:

Adult literacy is low.

Child literacy is low.

Information literacy has shifted dramatically in the last decade, but reputable information sources like research journals and factual news reporting have been unable to keep pace.

We are genuinely in a crisis of media literacy, with ever fewer genuinely factual resources available in the style and language used by contemporary audiences.

It may sound condescending, but we genuinely need to remind people, or worse, explain to them for the first time that art is not evidence of real world behaviour.

So, thank you, for this reminder. Genuinely.

Art does not need to feature exclusively morally pure characters. Art is not proof of the creator's secret, violent desires.

We are going to the Moon!

At 1:47 a.m. EST on Nov. 16, 2022, our Orion spacecraft launched aboard the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket from historic Launch Complex 39B at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on a path to the Moon, officially beginning the Artemis I mission.

This mission is the first integrated test of NASA’s deep space exploration systems: the Orion spacecraft, the SLS rocket, and Kennedy ground systems. This is the very first time this rocket and spacecraft have flown together, and it’s the first of many Artemis missions to the Moon. Artemis I is uncrewed, but it lays the groundwork for increasingly complex missions that will land humans on the lunar surface, including the first woman and the first person of color to do so.

With Artemis, we will build a long-term human presence on the Moon and prepare humanity for future exploration plans to Mars and beyond.

St Johns bridge got the name Cathedral bridge by Al Monner that posted a picture on the front page of the Oregon Journal and he said it arches reminded him of a cathedral.

The St. Johns Bridge is a steel suspension bridge that spans over the Willamette River and was designed by engineer David Steinman.

Really is a beautiful bridge.

Pretty Iris flower

Sad to see a missing person person posted. I think they found him. At a gas station there was another missing persons poster of someone else that was missing. Both were young men.

Sad that there is a need for a sign like this but glad that they are making people aware. Where I live the deep water channel has mercury in it too from the port of Sacramento.

From this park we drove to Seattle Washington, and went up the Space Needle and walked around Olympic Sculpture Park. I will post those pictures another time.
