@captainroxybalboa
Nationalpark Huascarán, Peru It doesn’t get any better than this in life, that’s for sure!
I hate small talk. I wanna talk about death, aliens, sex, what life means and why we are here.
Me (via fxckingsinner)
1. You don’t actually want a Tiffany’s bracelet for your birthday, nor do you want the blood of innocent men sitting pretty on your ring finger as some twisted symbol of eternity; you don’t value precious metals, you just want to show it off to the captain of the cheer squad. It’s not sentimental if a million other people have it; it doesn’t mean ‘I love you’ if it hurt someone before it travelled to your finger. 2. That promotion doesn’t mean shit to you. The extra 10k might do, and that’s okay - be honest with yourself about what you want & you might start treading an easier path to get there. 3. Everyone is someone else’s prom queen; the one who projects the perfect life, perfect hair, perfect family and perfect job; YOU are someone’s prom queen, and they’re never going to tell you that just like you won’t tell yours how jealous you are when you have no time to get ready in the morning and she’s already sitting in the office smiling. Or whatever it is that she does better than you. You only see your prom queen for a fraction of her life, she’s got shit going on just like you do. Nobody wins the crown without a few tears, and most don’t even get to walk home and put it on their nightstand. 4. It’s actually okay to be late. They will forgive you. “I was halfway through a chapter” is a perfectly reasonable excuse. 5. If your car gets you from point A to point B, it’s a good car. If it can play your favourite music, it’s a great car. Appreciate your great car. 6. The world isn’t going to stop turning if you run out of money tomorrow. Shit’s going to suck, and you’re going to have to sell your favourite dress or your time or your vintage records or your dignity to go and flip burgers, but at the end of the day it’s probably going to be okay. If you do run out of money, worry about keeping a roof above your head; worry about putting food in the mouths of your dependents; don’t worry about your fucking pride - there will always be someone willing to help, even if they can’t help much. 7. Your language matters. No-one needs a sob story, but you have no idea what kind of day that ‘faggot’, that ‘n*gga’, that ‘bitch’ that ‘whore’ is having today. Do you have shitty days? Then they do too. Shut the fuck up for a change, stop thinking about your own agenda, stop assuming that words are yours for the taking, and if I ever hear you tell someone that sticks and stones bullshit, turn those false weapons onto yourself. 8. You really, really don’t want a Tiffany’s bracelet, trust me. You also don’t need a house in the nicest neighbourhood; you need to be safe and comfortable, and you don’t need to be the Upper Side of Anywhere to achieve that. 9. You’re never going to win the lottery. 10. Nobody lays on their deathbed and wishes they’d gone to work more; it’s your loved ones that’ll flash before your eyes in your final moments, so take a second to think about what they mean to you. You’re never going to look back on missed deadlines with regret - what’ll get you is the romantic weekend you said no to, so you could get ahead with some paperwork you won’t even remember by the time it all matters. Drop it all and kiss your family.

Things that can Destroy your Motivation
1. Not having goals. You can’t reach your goals if you don’t know what they are.
2. Choosing goals that don’t inspire you. You won’t be able to keep on going if the prize at the end doesn’t really matter to you.
3. Expecting immediate results. Anything worthwhile is a battle and a struggle. It takes times and effort to bring about a change.
4. Lack of support. We all need someone to believe in us and to be our cheerleader when we start to feel discouraged.
5. Not believing in yourself. As Henry Ford so wisely said: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.”
6. Feeling bored. Most success involves a lot of humdrum work, and repeatedly doing the same kind of stuff. But each day brings you closer to achieving what you want.
7. Inaction and laziness. You have to work the plan before the plan will work … and dreams are only dream till you turn your thoughts to actions. Also, it’s crucially important that you manage your time well, and you don’t get distracted or procrastinate.
8. Being around negative people. There are plenty of people who only see the flaws, and whose eyes are on the problems, and the absence of solutions. If you hang out with them, you will lose your zest and passion, and your positive outlook will soon be undermined.
9. Comparing yourself to others. We each are individuals, and we start from different places; we all face our challenges, and work at different rates. Remember “it’s your journey”. Be patient with yourself.
10. Encountering setbacks. No matter how great your plans, or your level of commitment, you’re bound to face some setbacks and encounter obstacles. That’s a normal part of growth – just keep going when life’s tough.
It's been already a month that I have been going to the personal fitness academy and I am definitely more than happy about my choice of applying. There have been a lot of ups and downs along my future career choices and anything felt as right as becoming a fitness trainer does. I seriously love waking up on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday morning knowing that I'm going to spend the whole day learning about things such as nutrition, anatomy, workoutmethods, physiotherapy and so on and so forth. It feels good to finally know where I am heading...
Yes, it will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. You will need to make healthy decisions. It will require sacrifice. You will need to push your mind and body to its max. There will be temptation…
But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it will be worth it. And remember, nothing you have passion for is ever a waste of time, no matter how it turns out.

A series of recent events made me think about my life and what the fuck I am actually doing right now.
One of my best friends dropped out of uni recently. Usually I would say fight hard, it's just one or two more years to go and then you're done with that shit. But right now, I only have the biggest respect left for her! You get told from strangers or the internet to chase your dreams and do what really makes you happy yada yada yada, however, I never actually saw someone DO something about it. Like seriously start a new chapter and GO CHASE THE DREAM OF YOUR LIFE. Therefore I have to say that my friend has my back 100%. Another recent thing that happened in my own life is that I did not get into an important course that I actually need for my next semester. By not making it, I got finally pushed into something I really want to do. I do not dare to spell it out yet but if everything goes the way I want it, I will start something big in the upcoming month. I'll keep you uptodate!
Pick up your trash from the beach. Recylce your plastic bags. Find out what pollutes the ocean.
You're not here to own it, you're here to protect it. Keep the ocean clean!
