Who, wh.. Bucky wouldn't murder people? How much more fanon does it get than "The most famous assassin in the world recommends against killing bad guys."
Sorry to speak this into existence but the fanfic thatās going to be written for this movie might just be the discourse catalyst strong enough to destroy this site

Heās too old to be feeling butterflies fluttering around in his stomach when his crush looks at him; heās too old to feel the growing warmth of his cheeks when his crush steps in too close.
Except, well. Itās not a crush, canāt be. Itās something much bigger, much deeper.
Bucky walks into the kitchen in the morning, hair ruffled and eyes heavy-lidded, voice deep and raspy as he says good morning, and Samās entire being warms at the sight of him, something vague that takes a more certain shape inside him with every look, grows and grows, until itās all he feels, all he is.
And Sam thinks, again: itās so silly, theyāre both so old, but Bucky looks up at him as pours himself a cup of coffee, smiles softly, looks back at his cup, his cheeks reddening.
Then he leaves his cup where it is, steaming over the counter, and walks over to where Sam is, hip leaning against the sharp edge of the counter on the other side of the kitchen, right next to the window.
Buckyās arms frame his waist, the sunlight making his eyes that much more blue and bright.
Sam takes another sip from his coffee, hides a smile as Bucky leans in closer and closer, until Sam has no choice but to place the cup down.
āGood morning,ā he finally replies, sneaking his hand up to push Buckyās hair away from his face, runs gentle fingers through it, smiles when Bucky leans into the touch, eyes falling shut.
Mornings like this are new and precious, this whole thing is new and precious. Itās something Sam never thought of having, not after everything, but here he is, running his fingers through soft hair, letting Buckyās body warmth surround him, seep into him.
Bucky steps in even closer, until their chests are practically touching, and he tilts his head down, lips hovering over Samās.
Sam closes his eyes, smells the mint of their shared toothpaste, and leans in to close the gap between them for a small, gentle peck, as his hand falls to the nape of Buckyās neck.
Bucky exhales loudly, presses even closer, deepening the kiss as his hands take hold of Samās waist.
And Samās heart flutters, again and again, as he wraps his arms around Bucky, because maybe heās not too old to feel like this, maybe neither of them are.
Bucky hums as he pulls away, and Sam chases his lips just a little; except, he holds Sam in place, presses quick kisses to Samās nose, cheek, forehead, before he steps out of his arms, a smile on his face, a little cocky, as he goes to grab his coffee and plops himself down on a chair.
Sam gives him a flat look. āJust for that,ā he says, āyouāre making breakfast.ā
Bucky smiles brightly, as if this was his plan all along, and also that this is not the punishment Sam thinks it is.
Sam rolls his eyes, takes a seat as Bucky gets right back to his feet and goes to the fridge, begins taking out ingredients.
Sam watches, gives instructions every now and then that Bucky mostly ignores, his coffee cooling down and his smile hurting his cheeks.

Tony Stark is an obnoxious character obviously written by straight men who have know idea what a charming man is like, and he is also bourgeoisie scum who deserves the rusty blade of a guillotine.
I donāt know about others but the only reason I put both is so that whichever someone clicks on, they will find my fic. So if there is supposed to be rules, I guarantee you that no writer knows these ones. We can barely get people to comment, you think weāre going to specifically choose & or / ? Hell no.
Iāve been in fandom for twenty years, and ā/ā means romance and ā&ā means no romance was literally one of the first things I learned. It dates back to Star Trek fanfiction of the 70s. Iām boggled by the fact that anyone whoās been reading fic on AO3 for more than like five minutes wouldnāt know that, and Iām curious as to what fanfic community you come out of.
I donāt think that tagging with both is actually going to get your fic in front of more readers. People looking for romance often exclude the ā&ā tag if there are too many gen fics tagged with both. People looking for gen often exclude the ā/ā tag if there are too many fics with both. So rather than putting your fic in front of twice the people, you are in fact more likely to get your target audience ignoring your fic because it has a tag they donāt want.
Also, by overtagging you are more likely to annoy potential readers away from your fic than entice them. A fic tagged both & and / better have both romance and a ton of platonic interaction between the two characters, like a slow burn romance friends-to-lovers arc. If it isnāt, Iām going to be very unhappy because the author lied to me with the tags to try and trick me into reading a fic with deceptive advertising.
When Iām in a fandom and see tagging where some of the tags donāt really apply and are just there to get it in front of more eyes, Iām going to assume one of two things. Either the author is a newb who doesnāt know anything, or the author is purposefully spamming the tags because they donāt care about lying to their potential audience and think that āspray and prayā is an effective tactic. In the first case, their writing probably will not be very good, so why bother reading their fic. In the second case, the fact that I canāt trust the tags to be accurate means Iām not going to read it to see if itās interesting even if it has a tag I like. Chances are, that tag isnāt actually in the fic anyway, and even if it is, by spam-tagging the author is making the archive harder to use for everybody. Why would I reward bad behavior with attention? No. Far better to mute the author and move on.
More to the point--and no, I will never stop harping on this, because we have GOT to stop leaving our strongest points in the drawer--it doesn't matter if you heard of this convention before joining AO3 or not, because it's in AO3's tagging FAQ.

I don't care if you don't know fandom history. I don't care if you've never heard a goddamn word about the spirk shippers. I don't care if you've never been exposed to fandom culture in your life. It is, frankly, not fair to expect those things of everyone.
What is entirely fair to expect is that you will READ THE INSTRUCTIONS PRINTED NEXT TO THE FUCKING BOX, actually. Forget fandom conventions. It genuinely doesn't matter whether you agree with or respect fandom conventions. This is a site policy. This is explicitly how tagging on AO3, specifically, works.
