Use it on any gifs that you make and any edits. Do not use it for posting unedited photos, social media reposts, or text posts.

Feel free to use it for anything figure skating related as long as it is an edit or gif that YOU made.

Be sure to check it out via search or a direct link to the tag in order to find all the great gifs and edits others make!

Preferably put it in your first five tags so that anyone going to the tag directly will find your post!

Spread the word! This will only be successful if everyone who makes gifs and edits for our fandom uses it.

Figure Skating Fandom--Let’s Do This!

With Worlds 2016 coming up, it’s time to get serious about this.

We need a figure skating edits tag. While the general figure skating tag is inactive enough that it may seem unnecessary, there have been a lot of weekends like this one where it is flooded with spam.

Other benefits to a figure skating edits tag:

A lot of people don’t use the general figure skating tag and so I don’t see their work unless I specifically search by skater’s name. You reach more people with one general tag then only tagging by one skater’s name. A lot of skating fans are multifandom blogs and so it’s simply not possible to follow everyone and hope to see their gifs/edits!

We’d weed out simple social media reposts, text posts, etc and trust that people would respect the tag is for EDITS only. (edits of social media posts are okay, but like screengrabbing an insta post is not an edit)

Unfortunately, fsedit is already being used by Fitzsimmons shippers, and skateedit by Sawyer/Kate shippers, so…my suggestion is sk8teedit? But honestly it doesn’t really matter the most important is that it’s short, easy to remember, and makes sense.

If this appeals to you, and I would think figure skating fans in other fandoms that have edits tags have to be as frustrated as me!, THEN PLEASE REBLOG, SPREAD THE WORD, let’s figure something out! It’s only a bonus and a way to help more people see your work! Gifs and edits are a lot of work, don’t you want as many people to see them as possible?

2016 World Figure Skating Championships Drinking Game

Since alcohol is the most efficient way to dull the pain of being a skating fan, here is a drinking game for the 2016 World Figure Skating Championships.

Note: Drink responsibly. Don’t actually do this game, as it’s hella dangerous. Obey alcohol consumption laws, please! I am not responsible for your stupidity!

Recommended Cocktail: Moscow mule. Because we all know which lady is winning this thing. Also it’s light, refreshing, and delicious!
