I don’t think we’re rick rolling each other enough anymore. 1. it CANNOT die out 2. this under saturated market is perfect for unsuspecting victims who’ve been lulled into a false sense of security. be the person you hate. bring back the dastardly link
someone actually studied the falling Rick Roll rate for their Ph.D dissertation recently and published the paper
okay but this made me wonder if there was actually any academic literature on rickrolling and YES THERE IS this is a paper about rickrolling WITHIN academic literature. As in, studies that attempt to rickroll the people reading them. Best part is no one is going to believe me and click that link even though it’s 100% true.

Sometimes I think, hey, it's been a while, let's check what the online figure skating fandom has been up to! And then it takes me about seven minutes of scrolling before I remember exactly why it's been a while and why I haven't been keeping up with the online figure skating fandom. Omg. Are all sports fandoms like this or just the judged sports?

A little owl I painted on my mom’s birthday card.
Just stopping by to copypaste this from an email I sent today, as a summary of most of my thoughts and feelings about the GP so far:
“I do honestly wish Guignard & Fabbri's [FD] music were a little less jarringly edited, but, also, there's a distinct part of me that just wants to see them get on the ice and punch everyone else in the face and run away with all the medals one of these days. IDEK, they're just the kind of kids that inspire strange feelings like that in me, apparently, the current ice dance field being what it is.”
Ice dance really is freaking hilarious, though. Between today’s adults trying to battle Paso Doble again (also, at one point, noticing our coach just happily doing heartfelt Paso poses by the barrier by himself), tomorrow’s ice dance competition irl as not seen on television competition’s nine different pattern dances inside ca. two hrs (which tbh is not particularly unreasonable), and Skate Goddamn Canada (oh who even knows!!), I’m just, yes.
