I sent off [the Hold Me Tight or Don’t demo] to the band like, ‘Hey! what do you think of this?’ and no one commented. And I was like ‘Really? I liked that one. Okay. Whatever. I guess you can’t win ‘em all.’ And right towards the end of the record somebody’s like, “Hey what’s this? Where was this?” and I was like “What do you mean? I sent it to you like, a month ago! You didn’t notice?!” and it took on a life from there.
