Brendan’s smile faltered a little, he felt a little bad for Wally, due to his condition and being sparratically in and out of the hospital, he doesnt have as much time to just do what he wants to do... SO brendan resolved to do whatever wally wants to do! Its the least he could do boyfriend-wise anyway

---> Hey thats sounds okay, maybe we can ride latias over to the resort

--> We can do whatever you want, honey! Just you name it

Either way ill be there in about 15 minutes, okay? Love youuuu

And with that brendan started getting his stuff ready to go, he put on his hat and his jacket and got his bag. In moments he was outside and flying on his way to Wally’s home. He was so excited to see him

Wally had sort of been in and out of the hospital–something he figured would be largely unimportant to any sort of conversation, he’d never even thought to mention it. Weeks out and days in… it didn’t matter, not when his condition had largely stabilized.

Though his eyes were still the ominous, dead shade….he couldn’t do anything about it. They still had no idea what the condition even was.

It was midday and he’d hadn’t heard from Brendan at all, so even less surprising was the fact that the other boy texted him. It did make him happy though. Though his PokeNav was battered and scratched, he was able to reply hastily, a smile growing on his face.

Brendan smiled upon hearing his nav beep with his jingle to notify him of wally’s texts. He chuckled to himself as he read the message and replied to him quickly

--> Oh youre not? Well I could come by then! Or you could come by here... I mean whatever works really, I just wanna see you!

--> Also what do you mean I dont have to, maybe i just wanna give u sweets >:0

...what should I pick up btw? In case you want anythin particular, or we can go get ice cream or smth, my treat!

Maybe it would be a nice day to relax and hang out with wally, they dont get a lot of chill days given how busy they both are.. but its better than nothing at all

Brendan hadn’t heard from wally in a while. He was told by wally to not worry too much about his condition, so Brendan didnt visit as much to the hospital (maintaining contact via text of course) But he missed wally, he wanted to see him not visiting for a while... he hoped the virus didnt spread too badly on him. He got out his pokenav and pulled his name up on the screen, “wallywall” with little hearts surrounding it. “God im so gay” Brendan said, chuckling to himself.

---> Hey Wally, its been a couple days and I wanted to see you! I kinda missed you a lot actually... champion stuff is still rly boring...

How come Snowman’s been getting so many tourists these past few months? It seemed that more and more people come by, even if they are lost. After all, how could you lose yourself enough to end up in Snowman? Not unless you got some magical power to end up there.

She could understand though.

“Welcome t’Snowman! I sure hope y’can deal with the cold well.”

Brendan was overly overly OVERLY prepared for the snow. Having lived in a region thats tropical for 90% of the year his cold endurance had slipped down far beyond that of when he used to live in Johto. He was wearing at least three jackets when he pulled in. He was visiting because he heard this place via a friend, although he realizes now that said friend may have played a practical joke on him. Figures.

He spotted the hat clad girl standing to the side welcoming people in. He trotted up, looking nothing nothing less of a marshmallow waddling through the snow.

“h-h-h-h-ey so.. I know you probably get this question a lot but is there a place where I can settle down and drink something warm? I need a break from this weather.”

Wally squeaks as defensively as he could, squirming the bit away that Brendan would allow. This bombarding is not allowed! When it ends, he gives him a pout. But he definitely can’t hide that he’s all red-faced… perhaps even more than before?

“nnnot fair!! You’re t-taller!”

At least he thinks that’s how it works. After a moment, he reaches his hands up, if only to squish up Brendan’s face between them.

“…t-take thaaat!”

Brendan snickered as Wally visibly got flustered over his affectionate assault on him. Mission was a success.

“Heehee~ I see your faaace waaallyy”

He giggled as wally squished his cheeks together in retaliation

“H-hey~! Dont be like that you silly kid!”

He in turn did the same thing back to wally with his free hand, smooshing one of his cheeks inward.

Now at the other’s stare he tries to keep a hold on his own explosive embarrassment, knowing full well he can’t keep it for long. With a quiet voice he squeaks out,

“It….ttttotally worked, though.”

Oop. No more. He glances away, biting his lip. The need to be flustered is taking him rather viciously!

Wally is so cute to brendan it makes him smile big and wide.

“Yeah.. Yeah it did, but now its my turn!”

He gives him multiple kisses on the forehead and cheek. That oughta get him for sure.

“heheh~ how you like that~!”

He smirked down at him, his face giving off a somewhat competitive glint. He wasnt gonna lose this battle of affection!

“Since when?” Ah, there’s the smirk again. He laughs quietly at the other’s lightly voiced indignance, something he’d backed down from doing to begin with.

But at the other’s compliments, he stares for a while–only to take initiative this time and gently kiss the corner of Brendan’s mouth, barely missing his lips altogether.

…he’ll call that at least, somewhat safe. When he leans his head back, it’s gauging for a reaction.

Brendans face goes bright red and he lets some kind of noise out akin to a giggle and a squeak.

“heehee~ Youre so adorable, youre just trying to get me all flustered now arent you~?”

He smiles dpwn at him

Big silly huh? He wants to cry injustice–only mockingly of course–but instead a low ‘hhh’ comes out with a half-baked giggle as Brendan ruffles his hair. Dangit, foiled again!

“..mmhhh! The look’s cos…”

“…ccccos…”

Hold, hold. The train is pulling back in, finally. “…cos it was f-ffunnyyy!”

He giggles too.

“Well excuuuuuse me for getting flustered at you being so cute.... it happens to me too yknow!”

He hugs the other snugly kissing the top of his head

“I loove youu my silly wally”

“…yes.”

He gives him a challenging smirk, though one he puts on for the sake of it. Not like he actually wants to start any sort of argument, no matter how playful. Really he just wants to sleep, but it’s not often he gets to spend time with him.

Not recently, anyway.

“…It was f-funny!”

Seeing wally laugh and smile like this really warmed his heart.

“Yeah I bet it was sooooo funny you big silly~”

He said in a playful tone, he ruffled his hair with his free hand as he laughed.

“Whats that look huh?”

He says returning a smirk of his own.

The speed and volume of which Brendan speaks makes his head fog up again, and he flinches into the other’s arms to brave it. He’s trying not to make a giant deal out of his own mental lag, of course–he really doesn’t want to dampen their mood.

But then Brendan does that flustered yelp, and really Wally saw himself enough in it to laugh quietly.

“….hehe–c-careful, th-though.”

He’s still worried about the whole..could be contagious thing.

Brendan smiled and moved himself just a small small smaaaall distance from wally’s face, Hopefully enough to sate his worries.

“h-haha, I guess you thought that was funny huh? Yeah... I can dish it out but I sure cant take it..”

He smiled at wally happily, he was so glad that they could share this moment, if only it was in better context.

“No worries. Ill be fine. I promise.”

“…yyyyes you do. I’m real sick and you….sssstill…”

He decides to shut up on it, instead enjoying the other’s company and really, the closeness of it. Though the drowsiness is really starting to take its course–at least he’d finally get sleep that he could fully appreciate.

There’s a long silence from him.

Then he suddenly breathes out all real quiet–”I….I looove yoooou–”

Perhaps he’ll be more embarrassed about it in the morning.

“Wally, you dont have to worry, I’m not ‘putting up’ with this. I like being with you, hanging out and talking, relaxing, and just generally being around you. It makes me..happy, Im not too sure how to describe the feeling but I can say that its akin to those times when you get flustered and give a little squeak heheh..”

Silence for a brief moment, and when its broken Brendan felt like he could give out a squeak himself. The fluster train hit him like a truck, he was standing right on the tracks.

“A-aah! I-I… “

He hugs him a bit more snugly, his forehead comes into contact with the others.

“I love you too.. so much.”

Man that felt good.

At the go-ahead, he basically buries himself into the hug, settling finally into a warm grin that could melt the likes of Regice. This was way better than staying out in the commons. The bed was warm but still managed to be cool enough to be comfortable and…

“…r-really…really.” There’s another exhale.

“…y..you…p-put up with a lot…”

Brendan could feel his heart skip a beat as the other settled in, he held him close and leaned his head on the others while they talked.

“I have no idea what you mean wally. I do everything because I want to. I dont ‘put up’ with anything.”

He said with a warm smile.

“…yes.”

He gives the other boy a rather warm smile, pleased that Brendan is chilling with him like this. Now there’s something he really hadn’t done in a long time. Wally fidgets about to slip under the covers, messing with the pillows to get them fluffed up again.

“…this bed–ahaha…I missed..t-this bed.”

And the bulky green comforter. But more importantly, he very carefully rests his arm on the other, giving a questioning gaze as if to proceed into a full hug.

“…and really..a-all of this, a-a…aaactually.”

Brendan felt really happy to be able to relax with him like this, the last time they did was way back when they had their sleepover and watched scary movies. It was a whole lot different in context now but it still felt great to have something that felt like the old days before Wally was diagnosed.

“I missed this a lot too buddy..”

He scooched closer so that Wally’s arm could rest firmly around him and he embraced him in a hug. He looked wally in the eyes, the poor boy looked exhausted. He pulled him in a bit closer so that Wally’s head was resting on his arm.

“Im just glad that Im able to experience this with you again.. Any time I get to spend with you is just.. nice.”

He mentally braces himself to be picked up, but again the boy simply leans into Brendan, having entirely accepted his fate. It did really beat walking–Brendan was rather good at the whole carrying thing and it meant he didn’t have to embarrass himself trying to limp to his particular room.

Brendan must be really good at Search and Find, at any rate, because he sure as hell locates the room Wally liked to crash in..though it might’ve just been the rather dwindling light sources and green bedspread in that particular room.

Or the pendant dangling from the dresser..?

When he’s placed down on the bed, he sighs happily: it’d been a loooong while since he’s been able to lay down in his “own” bed. He kicks off his shoes and sheds his cardigan as well.

“yes–th-this is the one.”

The cool air felt incredible. “..i-…thank you.”

There it is, Finally that kid can start to wind down. Thats so much better than refusing to sleep on his lap. Granted brendan would’ve wanted to go to a comfy bed than a not so comfy lap too.

“No worries wally, Im just glad youre feeling well enough to sleep now”

He got under the covers and turned to face wally on his side.

“No sense in not getting comfortable hahah..”

Wally laughs lightly, tilting his head back again. This was really relaxing–especially with the slowing scatter of people around them now that night was progressing.

“bbbh…yes…I-I hope so…I haven’t been there either…i-in..a while.”

There he goes. He turns to rest his head against the other.

“…brendan….t-there’s…rooms in the back…w-we could sleep there.”

Brendan could feel himself kinda tiring out as well. Mostly because the atmosphere, and yawning is rather contagious.

“yeah.. it would be nice. I wanna do that with you.”

He sighs in relief when wally talks about sleep, it made him glad that the boy was finally deciding that sleep wel best.

“Ah.. okay, I gotta pick you up again though... ill be gentle.”

He uses one hand to cradle his head and the other to pick him up from under his legs. He stood up slowly and walked slowly over to the rooms wally was talking about.

“This is what you were talking about right?” He asked. Wally only nodded in response.

He carefully uses one hand to open the door and enters the room, using his foot to close the door behind them. Thankfully wally had a room already here for them to use.. He placed the boy gently down on the bed and then goes to lie down next to him, removing his shoes first before putting his feet up on the bed.

“There you go buddy, how’s that?”

Tuckered out from his own mental rounds, he lets his eyes shut again, another low but contented sound leaving him. The agitation was dissipating faster than he would’ve thought.

“…mmmmmaybe back in verdanttturf…t-the grass…is really nice, there.”

He chuckled softly his hand returning back to occasionally run through wally’s hair, a lot less frequently after what just happened though.

“heheh.. Yeah.. It is really nice there, My mom would be more than happy to make us lunch. And we could spend the afternoon there with our pokemon,...and as the day goes along we could hold hands and.. watch the sunset or something. It’ll be a good time”

He said as he felt a yawn creep out of him
