Another great Off The Strip location: Cathedral Rock Trail in the Spring Mountain National Recreation Area just outside Las Vegas. It's a moderate dog-friendly hike through the forest, with clearings along the way to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Only the last 1/4 mile is steep, with switchbacks taking you to a rocky landing with gorgeous views. The weather is always nicer in the mountains, so a short drive to adventure around here is a nice reprieve from the 100+ degree daily temps in the Vegas Valley. #OptOutside #SoVeryVegas #DFMI https://ift.tt/2JEMzEN

What a week this is for sports in Las Vegas! The Las Vegas Aces had the home opener of their inaugural WNBA season yesterday. And the Vegas Golden Knights are in the Stanley Cup!
