emmeeâ:
emmeline had always enjoyed a good party. anything that gave her an excuse to run away from her average life was automatically right up her alley. sheâd seen her favorite tailor and created a custom dress in a beautiful baby pink hue. sheâd spent the first part of the evening catching up with friends, reminiscing on their days spent frolicking throughout those very same halls they were currently reveling in. it wasnât until sheâd seen a familiar face across the hall that she was shocked back to reality. without thinking she ducked behind the nearest person she could find. realizing her sudden need for a hiding spot was not welcome she apologized,âbloody hell, iâm sorry. if you could just stay put for like..three more minutes. we should be good.â
Oh, what the hell. A bit of trouble for old timeâs sake never hurt anyone. Carinaâs whole demeanor shifted, as if a light-bulb appeared above her head. She beamed, bright and confident in her abilities to cause a little hell. The party was dull and full of people so far up their own asses she doubted anyone would notice. Regardless, even if the brilliant plan she concocted in her head failed spectacularly, sheâd still get a kick out of it. âWell you canât stay behind me for three minutes,â Carina said matter-of-factly. She stood shorter than some Hogwarts first years; it was all too obvious there was someone crouching behind her. She scanned the crowd of faces around them, but no one quite stood out. âCan you point out who youâre hiding from? I might have an idea.â She threw a glance over her shoulder, âJust checking: how would you feel if I jinxed said person?â
