Convention 2018

After a long and anticipating wait for this timely theme: Be Courageous Convention, we witnessed and cherished this abundant spiritual banquet that we’re eternally grateful. My notes were very meaty! Staying awake in this convention was a piece of chocolate cake. It was rejoicing to see and associate with our dear brothers and sisters whom we haven’t seen in forever.

Home School log: 05/29/2018

I’m still puzzled on how some of my acquaintances were able to finish this High school program in less than 6 months! It’d take me more than a month to earn a credit! I’m taking my time on World History that has affected my “estimated” graduation date from August to as late as October! Furthermore, before I start on Literacy I’d have to read EIGHT books and use my under-powered mind to earn a bloody credit!

I’m also struggling of which electives I must choose to finish the program, and I reckoned they’ll send mo’ books and long web-pages to read. 

My calculations 9 months ago wasn’t realistic (for me). You see, I’m not the kind of student who process info while reading; I repeatedly read the material and take notes and study. I can’t do that process for a whopping NINE hours straight! I can’t even stay awake in ministry for NINE hours straight! I study in One and a half hour intervals. I take a “short” break in the kitchen. Usually, I have to do only 3 intervals before I start to weep.

I don’t regret pioneering. Pioneering is the best thing that ever happen to me. Once I started, I couldn’t stop and I won’t! I go out in the ministry at least 3 times a week. I’m very pleased with my field service schedule, although, staying balance between studies and field service and personal bible studies can also be a challenge. There were days that I had to cancel a field service day because of trying to finish a deadline I made up, in result,  It had took a large toll on my spirituality and hours that I promised. So I decided to stick to my field service schedule even if I didn’t finish a lesson. Of course, It meant that my graduation date will not be definite.

I’m mentally challenged; knowledge wise lol. But despite all this, I’m glad I could finish High School in less than three or two years. I can focus in what is most important not on the least important matters like community service, debates, PE, teachers, classmates, and other excrements.

Granpa’s in Town!

Grandpa arrived last Wednesday (May the 23rd)

So far we have had the greatest time ever.

We played checkers (Cause Chess makes me look dumb) and my logic skills were rusty that my head was about to obliterate and explode.

We’re hoping to hear those good ol’ stories and make memories with him.

It has been a while...I forgot..

A lot of things happened for the last 2 Months.

Me and family, Soccoro, Mary Ann and The Rectors drove to Houston, Texas for the very first Tagalog Assembly. It was great and packed! We met friends that we haven’t seen in a while. After the assembly we were invited to go to a sister’s house for dinner. The place was packed too and the food was great.

The day after that we had breakfast at the house we’ve rented then had brunch at Jollibee downtown (I WAS FULL, & PLEASED) then shopped in a couple of Phil-Stores and RED RIBBON! We spent most of the afternoon at a Man-Made waterfall somewhere downtown, it was pretty, Then drove up north to Dallas to sleepover at a great-friends’ house.

On our way home, we stopped at a couple of Asian groceries for some cheap goods! Oh they were cheap-cheap! Mango Cases for 5 bucks-that’s a great deal! Got home at around 11 in the evening

A week after, we drove to Arizona again!

Grandpa had no idea we were coming to AZ. We tried to keep the secret for than a month- It was an effort that we almost blew. Grandpa nearly had a heart attack- yes, we got him good! Great to see mah buddies again. 

Our Trip to NY for the World Headquarters was cancelled for some difficulties.

“Warwick will still be there,” I was saddened to see my dad cancel our reservation. But I thought it wasn’t the right time; I wanted to go with the whole family and friends. It sounds cliché but whatevs.

Home school Log (3/29/2018)

I finally finished my Biology course. It took way longer than I expected to finish it. I learned many useless things like Evolution, cells,  & anything that ends with “oids, ite, yx, es, etc” It cost me 2-3 Weeks of my graduation date. (Which is supposed to be around Mid-July) But it’s okay if my graduation will be on August anyway; it’s the deadline-deadline.

Home School log: 03/09/2019

The Biology that I’ve been trying to finish is fun; but I learned that I can’t finish this entire course and the entire book in a week. Yes, I was ambitious. That thick book they gave me is no joke! I’ve decide to take it easy for the meantime. :P

Yay! It’s March...

I’ve organized my schedule for this month. I’ve decided to finish my Biology course as long as I like. I reckoned that I’ll finish that course maybe on the Second week of this Month.

My goal this month is to restart my pioneering since it’s the Memorial month. I’ve checked out the territories for letter writting. Saturdays and Mondays are service days; still working for Monday and Thursday. 

Furthermore, I think this month is going to laborious because we have to prepare our lawn for spring, stay on course in my high school, go out in field service definitely, and tons of territory organization since the CO visit is pretty soon! ^.^

My thoughts about my decision of studying high school at home.

I started my Pennfoster high school course around late summer. I was astonished on how easy it is to earn credit in each class. The lessons are easy. I had time for everything that I wanted to do: Field Service, personal bible study, music, and much more! My main goal is to graduate high school around summer 2018, and take care of all the boring stuff(like career and college nonsense stuff) after. 

Homeschooling helped to be free from the association that Satan offer. My relationship with my Family and friends has became impregnable. It is some thing that want that a conventional high school can’t offer.

My phone’s camera sucks at most occasions but it truly shines on Snow Days. We expected light snow or dusting.. there’s more coming on Tuesday 😫 #unexpectedsnowfall (at KCMO)

My Parents’ Surprise Anniversary party. Although, Ken wasn’t good at keeping secrets 🙄. But we had a blast! The symphonies of laughter and overwhelming happiness of get-togethers makes you feel like you’re in the paradise, a spiritual paradise with strong bond of unity of our brothers and sisters.
