okay, rant about 2020 and quarantine time.

i saw a post that wasn’t really that important and i was like “oh let me open the replies and see what people are saying about this little post and i saw someone saying ‘i wish i could just sit around and do nothing instead of being forced to work’

i’m sorry you were an essential worker, and that you had to risk your wellbeing— but ‘being home all day’ WASNT a luxury. it wasn’t a choice. it was a MANDATORY LOCKDOWN. i can’t at all fathom why they think this. we COULDNT go to work. many people lost a lot of money and didn’t have an income. people were struggling. how privileged are you?

to deny that people died during covid and to say this to someone i think is totally insane. my family lost loved ones to covid. so many people DIED.

and the sentiment of “you should have fought harder” is so dystopian to me. fight harder against what??? a literal disease?
