She litteraly doesn't know Armand actually exists. To her, he's just this evil mysterious hot character from this wild vampire dark romance. She has every right to be weird about him. "She's sexualising him, despite his traumas" you are litteraly reading porn fanfictions of Armand. And that's okay ! You cannot actually hurt Armand by sexualising him because he doesn't actually exist !

Maybe the reason why most people find this character cringe and annoying while I find her hilarious is because I'm a native french speaker and I can fully appreciate the choice of words and the way she acts. The subtitles are not really 100% accurate for what she says...

Well tbh the quebecois accent and the mix of french, english and internet slang is very funny in itself.

The subtitles are "smash it, grab it, lick it", but it's more like "I'd do him, I'd grab him, I'd bite him and I'd lick lick lick him" and the ways she says the most unhinged things while being a cashier and talking to a client is just hilarious

In the tale, Shahryar takes a different wife every day, and every night he murders her. On their wedding night Sheherazade begins telling a story but leaves it unfinished at sunrise. After 1001 nights, Shahryar ends up sparing her life.

Armand kidnaps a new man every night, murders him and drinks his blood. One night, he chooses Daniel as his victim and abducts him. In order to survive, Daniel starts telling him stories about what he witnessed in his life as a journalist, but stops before the end everytime. Armand grows curious about his stories and starts taking more and more interest in Daniel.
