Presentation Reflection
I can’t choose just one presentation. They were all so amazing. One of my favorites was definitely the LGBT project, as that is a very important community to me. Not to mention, he totally went viral. After seeing how many followers and views he got, I wondered why I even tried to make a twitter. This is also a very popular community right now. I thought it was great that this was used.
Another presentation I loved was the Disney diversity one. I am obsessed with Disney (and, to be honest, pretty jealous I didn’t think of that idea). I never actually realized that this was an issue. I’m also pretty bummed I didn’t see this campaign before the presentation, or I totally would have helped promote it.
Have a great Christmas everyone!
I agree, the amount of followers he got was so impressive! I felt good getting 75 views until he went up
I love Disney too and had never thought about the diversity issue there. Definitely learned some new information from that presentation.
LAST Tumblr post- Reflection on most effective presentation
Since I am not going to be in class ion Thursday due to the NCAA volleyball tournament I am going to post my Tumblr post on the most effective presentation today.
I really liked the presentation from Corina. I might have paid a little more attention to it because we have been discussing the project trough out the entire time, and I liked her overall topic just because I am interested in that type of stuff.
When it comes to the way she presented, I liked her PowerPoint slide with pictures representing each of her genres and the links below that led you to her genres. Her genres were a twitter account, an info graphic and an interview. I think she met all of the requirements for this project with the genres she chose.
Her twitter account met the requirement for number of tweets, compared to some other ones presented today. I liked her info graphic because I could get information out of it without reading through some long text. My favorite of her three genres is her interview. I like that she didn’t just type out the interview but actually kept it as an audio recording. She made a good point, saying that she wants people to know that she actually took the time to do the interview and not have people think she just mad it up.
It’s a shame that she did not have a lot of time to circulate her genres but overall, I think they are very effective.
Not only did she meet the requirements, she exceeded them! The project was great. I know nothing about PT and she made everything very accessible and easy to understand.
I agree, I really liked her infographic. Wish I’d thought to do something like that!
Most Effective Presentation
Although I found all of the presentations to be pretty good and interesting, there was one that stood out the most to me. Zerrin’s presentation on mental illnesses and the stigma that is associated with them was one of my favorites. During her presentation I was able to tell that it was something she was really passionate about and I think that always makes for the best motivation for a project. When she originally posted the link to her narrative genre I remember thinking I would read it because I have always been kind of interested in the topic, but after reading it I was really moved. The descriptive writing she used helped to enhance the story and overall it was just really good. Then in class when she mentioned that it was based on experiences in her own personal life that just made it more moving. So I was definitely caught with pathos for this project. Then I went back after class and looked at her Tumblr page and really went through everything. Her use of pictures and other graphics really helped to catch attention and had short but powerful phrases on them that really made you think. I also thought it was really cool how she mentioned that a girl had messaged her saying that the page was good because I think that really shows that the project was effective. I’m really glad this presentation was done and that I was able to take a closer look into this topic.
Krispy Kreme vs. Dunkin Donuts
I’ve been planning on writing about this subject for awhile and realized that the semester is almost over so I better get to it!
While the famous argument is that Krispy Kreme is the better donut shop because of their hot donuts sign, let me tell you why Dunkin Donuts will always be the better choice. Krispy Kreme used to be great, I can agree to that, however lately it came out that they were leaving that hot donuts sign on all the time and really only giving out lukewarm treats! I mean can you imagine walking in expecting piping hot goodness to explode in your mouth only to realize that your donut has been sitting out for hours?! The horror! That alone is enough to make me not want to waste my time there. I am also a women who likes many different kinds of donuts and I want a place where my cravings can be fulfilled. On their website Duncan Donuts lists 128 different kinds of donuts, whereas Krispy Kreme? They only offer 55. Its like they’re not even trying to compete. If those reasons still can’t persuade you to quit your Krispy Kreme and come on over to Dunkin, think about something other than donuts! Maybe you’re in the mood for some hash browns with your donut or maybe a breakfast sandwich. Even just a simple bagel which is stocked at Dunkin Donuts all over, is only available in 6 select Krispy Kreme locations. So in conclusion, if you like less choices and a place where you’re never sure if your food is made fresh or has been sitting around for half a day, go right on ahead and hit up your closest Krispy Kreme shop. I, on the the other hand, will continue to go to the reliable Dunkin Donuts, where they get fresh shipments of food twice a day and have double the menu variety that Krispy Kreme does.
Attention Vegans of the Internet!
I have been a vegetarian since birth and my whole family is as well. As someone in this position, I have been interested in going vegan for a few years now. Currently I am studying the vegan lifestyle for a research project. That being said, I am trying to round up as many “Why I Went Vegan” stories as I can! It can be in paragraph form or just a few short sentences, however you would like to share your personal narrative. All you have to do is repost this with your own comments attached so that I can view them. I’m so interested to see why people all over have joined a movement that is becoming increasingly popular!
***If you aren’t comfortable posting your thoughts or aren’t vegan and just think this is a neat idea, all I ask is that in order to have this reach as many people as possible, you just please ~repost and share~ Thank you!!
It’s not too late to tell your story!! Share with the world why YOU decided to go vegan!
Assembling a Multigenre Project
I think this may have been the shortest thing we’ve had to read. I don’t mind.
This chapter was pretty much about project three, it’s too bad all of my genres are done and now I’m just letting time pass while they circulate. This will be helpful when I try to label the things I’ve done cause right now I don’t know what to call them.
I really liked the breakdown of the different options of genres for the dog paper, makes me wish my project two was about dogs, not newspapers.
The book tells us that when we are breaking our projects down into genres, we have to consider a few things, like how we can ‘further out purpose’ how we reach our audience and what are modes and medias will be. Then it goes into the steps of a multigenre project, which are:
1. Introduce your project. This means you write something that lets your audience know what everything is all about, and give information that will help them understand what they see.
2. Put your pieces in an order that makes sense. The book gives the example where your project is on a problem/issue the first piece should be about the issue and the last part should be possible solutions.
3. Give your project a title. Seems pretty self explanatory to me.
4. Create your authors statement. This seems like the introduction to me
5. Deliver it creatively. Don’t just put it in a folder, be better than that
I agree that even though our genres are already out and circulating, the reading did point out some other things to look at such as titling our projects!
Chapter 10 BBG Reflection 11.19.15
Well, I must say that this chapter really did give me some new ideas on what genres to use for this project… although it is a little late for that kind of thinking!
I like that this chapter mentions that the multi-genre project allows someone to break away from the usual forms of composition such as the research paper. This is something I have thought about since the beginning of the semester when I first laid eyes on our syllabus and what Project Three entailed. I’m not sure I am quite as excited anymore… terrified may be the more proper term for the emotion I am currently feeling…
although Molly definitely showed me in class today that I am overthinking this project.
Anyways, back to the reading. I hadn’t really thought of making my pieces work together, although I am not sure why; clearly, it makes sense to do so. Thankfully, my pieces don’t clash and actually work together quite nicely.
I found out that I am mostly focusing on the rhetorical appeal of pathos when reading this chapter. Although, one of my pieces could be seen as utilizing logos as well as egos. But I definitely made sure to mix up my modes and media to keep my audience entertained. A video, podcast, and short informal writing are about as diverse as you can get.
Now, I am not sure if this is Brandi’s way of telling us to write a two-page introduction for our project, but I definitely read that in this chapter. I see how this is helpful but for someone still trying to get the pieces done a two-page introduction is daunting.
I also never thought about titling my project; I guess it had slipped my mind. There is so much that goes into picking a title that is memorable and that sparks the interest of the viewer. It will take a good bit of thought before I come to choose a title I am fond of.
Finally, the “design” part of the project is certainly how to package it. I plan on packaging my project on a webpage. Although it isn’t tangible, it will be able to reach a large audience and the design of the webpage itself will do the project justice. Here’s a teaser:
Good luck lovelies!
I too thought this chapter came around a little to late, my genres are all out there circulating already.
The website looks great!
This chapter definitely gave me good ideas but I agree that it did come at a little late of a time. I also had never thought of titling my project, at least its not too late to add that in!
Ch. 10 Reflection
A multigenre project is a project centered around one topic with three different genre compositions representing it. The possibilities associated with a multigenre project go a step past regular genre projects. The creator has an endless and unlimited supply of options that they are able to create to represent their topic or issue. Some examples can be videos, blogs, collages, handmade objects, photo essays, and animations. Before starting a multigenre project there are a few things to consider. The first is how you are going to further your purpose. This can be done by thinking of each genre as a piece and altogether they make the project whole. It is usually good to create an Author’s or Artist’s statement for each genre but if not then at least one for your project as a whole. Also consider how you will reach your audience, think about portraying multiple points of view in your project. Using rhetorical appeals is always important, depending on what your genre is, utilizing ethos, pathos, or logos shouldn’t be too hard. Choosing what modes and media your project will be in is the last choice to make. Using a mix of both in your pieces can help the audience find different ways to connect with the topic. To review, the steps to assembling a multigenre project are as follows; introduce your project and provide context, sequence your genre pieces, title your project, create and Author’s or Artist’s statement, and package your product creatively. This chapter is without a doubt the most helpful thing we have read pertaining to project three. It discussed everything that we had to do and the examples at the back of the book were an added bonus for those who are still a little confused.
SFH Readings 11/17
SFH Layout and Pages
This reading was all about how you layout out pages, like how you want the paper to be oriented, paragraph break ups, colors, fonts and the overall organization of your piece.
The first section of this passage is about the size and orientation of your page. The size page you choose affects how much information you can include in your paper. The smaller the paper, the less information you can fit on it, go too large though and it can be hard to focus on one point of text, or if the paper is online will take to much scrolling around to find it.
It then talks about how to break down the material into “readable units” It basically says large, lengthy paragraphs are boring and hard to read. The text says break it up with color and fonts, text boxes, lines and images.
It moves on, saying that putting the most important stuff at the top of the page and the less important stuff at the bottom is a great way to organize your paper.
The article says alignment is important, that you want to direct readers down and across the page. You can do this through lists, tables and frames.
It also tells you to avoid clutter and revise to flow and readability. And which fonts are best for that. I had no idea that’s how those symbol fonts were used!
SFH Images and Photos
This passage is all about inserting photographs into our writing. Saying it “enlivens” our writing.
The images we use can come from many sources, just make sure they don’t have a copyright or you could get in trouble for using them. I just ran into this when I was trying to find pictures for my Buzzfeed article, but I’m pretty sure the pictures I used were all good.
The book says you should edit your pictures, cropping, re sizing and coloring the images before you actually place the image in your paper.
Here is an image I edited for project 3:
Analyzing Visual Rhetoric
This was a very quick, two page passage with questions to ask yourself when looking at visuals.
There were some of the ones we’ve all heard before, like who is the audience, what is the purpose, genre and medium.
Then there are also new questions that take from the other two readings we had assigned, like are the margins sufficient and are the fonts readable.
These questions will be helpful when writing up the report on all of our genres.
So cool that you used one of your own edited images as an example! One of my goals is to learn how to do things like that for future projects
Reflections for 11/17 Class
I found these readings to be helpful for project three, especially because one of my genres is a fact sheet. Yesterday when I was in Strozier, I spent so long trying to figure out what fonts to use, how to format my document, how big to make my boxes, etc… I thought the first reading helped me find the answers to all of these questions. All of the picture and diagram examples made me realize how important it is to actually put thought into the layout of your genre.
For example, no one wants to read a document that is all words and no indents and a teeny tiny font. I learned the importance of indentations and spacing before reading this because I am a culprit of making my paragraphs really long. It can be intimidating looking at a documents that has no breaks… sometimes, us readers just need a break you know?
DBLTB (Don’t be like this book.)
I liked reading the difference between the serif and the sans serif fonts. it definitely made me reconsider the fonts I am using for my genres.
Make sure to make everything pretty! I know this sounds cliche but the reading stresses the importance of making documents appealing to the eye. Everything is a competition my friends!
Just like SFH Images and Photos says, a picture is a thousand words. Photos can help us at just a glance know aspects of our subjects that would require a lot of explaining if words were used. Adobe Photoshop, iPhoto, and Picture Man can all be used for editing photos. Copyright also comes into play with editing images, it is important to ethically change a picture. Images should be no larger than it absolutely needs to be for the reader to read and understand it. We can crop images, place images to wrap texts, color images, and modify images all to fit the needs of our genre. The biggest thing I learned from this reading is to select a color scheme that will best fit your writing situation.
I must say, it was very difficult for me to read Analyzing Visual Rhetoric on my computer which is really ironic because all of the readings are about making things easy for the audience.. LOL
When you pick a genre, think about the intended audience, genre, mode, medium, and accesibility… if your reader can’t find it… whats the point! Make sure your piece is organized in a way that will be easy to follow. Always have organization so your reader will believe your ethos.
On another note… WE ARE SO CLOSE TO CHRISTMAS WOW GUYS GET PUMPED. I DON’T CARE IF IT’S NOVEMBER
Whenever I pick up a textbook and it’s like your first gif I die a little inside! Pictures are necessary in long, informative books, they just are.
I also really found these readings to be relatable for my project three. Since I’m going to be using either a picture or video clip learning about the best ways to incorporate them was super helpful.
11/17 BB Readings Reflection
In “Analyzing Visual Rhetoric,” the reader is presented with two pages full of questions designed to help them look at designs with a more critical eye. The reader is asked to identify a target audience and discover what the purpose of their piece is. They are then guided to discover what the best genre and medium are for the intended topic. The rest of the questions are mostly about the design and how to make your piece look the best for the reader. Things to look at when thinking about design are headings, font, font size, margins, spacing, and color. Speaking of color, it is important to look at any graphs, charts, or other images that may be included and make sure that the coloring is correct on all of them, since that can sometimes be vital to the reader’s understanding of the piece.
“Lay Out Pages” is all about, as the title states, figuring out the layout of your pages. Sometimes projects or papers comes with very specific instructions from the teacher about how they should be set up. If that’s the case it makes it easy because you can just follow the directions. If not, it can be a little more challenging starting with a blank space, but that also gives the creator the freedom and flexibility to do whatever they may choose. Some of the things that were suggested were pretty basic like putting the material in order of relevance or the reminder to always revise work before it is submitted. Certain things, however, were really interesting and ideas I had never thought of such as using white spaces to reduce clutter on the page by separating material into little units. I thought that was so interesting and something I may try in the future since attracting and keeping a reader’s attention is always most important.
Reading “Images and Photos” started off as an immediate challenge because it was sideways on my computer and that really turned me off to wanting to read it. That is a relevant point though which really proves that the way a reader views something really does have a huge impact. Once I turned my computer sideways to read it, because I’m tech-challenged and couldn’t switch the article the other way on my own, I was able to get some really useful information about using pictures and graphics to enhance a project. Learning how to edit images is such a cool skill I would love to learn so that I could do things to images that the book suggested such as placing, sizing, cropping, coloring, and modifying. When working with color, there are a few things to remember. Selecting a readable color scheme to create the right mood for the document and highlighting or softening parts of the layout are all different things that color can be utilized to do in projects. I’m really excited to incorporate this new knowledge of design, layout, and color that I have gotten from the articles into my project three.
Viral Marketing
Wikipedia Article:
According to this reading viral marketing is a set of marketing techniques that use social media and technology to spread the word about a product. It has many forms including videos, graphics, text and even games.
To be totally honest, the section on how it works made no sense to me, I hope the other readings clear it up a little bit.
How viral something is is measured by metrics, which include things like view numbers, how clicks something has and even how many retweets something has.
If a company wants something to go viral, they have to appeal to the audience, make their ads shareable, put it on a popular website and most importantly make sure what they create is good quality.
The article then lists example, my favorite of which was the Will it Blend, I spent over an hour watching those videos once years ago.
Viral Marketing 101
This article is arguing the point that seeding is the most important part of a viral campaign. This is when you put your idea in all the right places where they will be seen by a lot of people.
But before you get to seeding, you have to make sure your idea will attract enough people. Things that will help it’s success are it being funny it being useful, it causing a stir or it touches on your emotions.
Once you’ve got the appeals then you get to seeding. This is putting your creation where it will be seen, like twitter, Reddit and social media. When it is seen by the right people, it will go viral.
15 Of the Best Viral Marketing Campaigns
This was a great resource because it shows the techniques I had just been reading about in action, and then describes why each of those ads went viral.
It seems like what most of them had in common was humor or they played on something people want, like money or free stuff.
I had never heard of Million Dollar Home Page, and I don’t really understand why something like would go viral. Also never seen that sheep video, but I loved it.
7 Tricks to Viral Marketing
The title of this article explains what it was all about, it’s 7 ways to get content to go viral.
The tricks are
1. get people to feel something, the can mean getting them really happy, angry or sad. Each way still gets people talking.
2. Do something unexpected, be original don’t do what every ad has done. I can;t help but think of the squatty potty unicorn, I see that thing everywhere now. Look it up if it somehow hasn’t invaded your social media yet.
3. Don’t make it an advertisement, show the people what they want to see, and make sure to show the item at least in passing. Like those bouncy balls? Got me intrigued
4. Continue the story since you’ve already got people interested.
5. Make it share-able, so that message spreads like fire.
6. Allow comments, get people talking about it.
7. Don’t restrict, allow anyone who want to see it to see it.
Viral Marketing, Meet Social Media
This article says that word out mouth buzz is a very powerful tool. It reiterates and gives examples of this throughout the article. It says social medi is the tool to getting something to go viral.
You really did a good job of diving into every article and giving an overall summary of the ideas in each, keep up the good work!
Viral Marketing
Viral marketing is all the buzz right now in the marketing world. Viral marketing is kind of a gamble in my opinion if a company is relying completely on viral marketing as their only form of advertisement. Basically viral marketing is depending on people to share whatever is being marketed with their friends. Viral videos/pictures/stories are very common and at some point or another everyone has been exposed to something that “went viral” because popular social networking, such as Facebook and Instagram, are flooded with viral videos. Viral marketing aims at taking advantage of the way social media works and how people share cool things to sell a product while attempting to avoid the traditional costs of advertising on TV networks or buying advertisement space in magazines or on websites. Viral marketing works by creating some cool or interesting video or picture that people share on their Facebook, Instagram, or twitter accounts. Recently I have seen an increase of advertisements that have their one hashtag after the video to give people a common way of sharing the video or their opinion. When people use this hashtag they are essentially providing free advertisement for this product because as the hashtag gets used more and more it will start to appear on the “trending hashtag” sections thus reaching even more people. In my experience, viral marketing works very well when the marketing people take advantage of holidays and appeal to popular opinions or emotions. For example, I saw a video today on my Facebook feed called “On Killing: Veterans” the marketers took advantage of Veterans day making the video seem relevant to society and appeals to people’s emotions as the video is kind of sad, but interesting.
Here is a link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsfbO9oz0GI&feature=youtu.be
See the viral marketing is working!!
So cool that you included a video of something you saw on Facebook! Really shows that the stuff we’re learning about is applicable in today’s world.
Viral Marketing
Before reading these five articles I honestly had never heard of the phrase “viral marketing” and really had no idea what it was. Since it seems to be very popular in today’s advertising world, I think it is necessary to at least know the basic facts.
What is Viral Marketing?
-Viral marketing, or as it can otherwise be called viral advertising or marketing buzz, means essentially putting an advertisement out that is so cool and interesting that people will want to share it with others. The ultimate goal is that these marketing programs will create messages that will go viral and appeal to the masses of individuals all over the world.
What does it do?
-Viral marketing decreases the amount of work that advertising companies and other businesses are forced to do and really puts a lot of the advertising power in the hands of the people. The notion that ideas spread like viruses was really what started this movement. As a company’s campaign increases in popularity, it is shared more and more with the masses until everyone has pretty much seen it and the advertisement, in other words, can be described as a “virus.”
How does it work?
-It works because when people see their friends and family endorsing a product they are more likely to try it themselves. Social media is becoming the main tool for viral marketing because all you really have to do is click retweet, share, or repost and everyone who follows you will see what you have shared. In one of the articles it describes the campaign done on Twitter by Virgin Blue, the airline company, where they gave away 1000 tickets for only $9 each. This campaign went viral because everyone was retweeting trying to win one of the tickets and so in turn everyone who followed these people was seeing their retweets. This meant that even if their followers weren’t participating in the giveaway, they still were seeing the name Virgin Blue and so next time they went to book a flight they might remember that and choose to fly with that airline.
When does it work?
-Viral marketing works best when the audience can identify with the campaign. If the American Cancer Society is trying to raise awareness and posts a marketing video and then a cancer survivor or someone who lost a friend to cancer see’s that video, they will feel empathetic to the cause and most likely share it with their friends. It also helps if there is something unexpected or a big twist that makes people want to keep reading or watching the advertisement. Now that social media is so widespread, people are sharing things all the time and viral marketing is becoming a more and more popular way for companies to target their audiences.
I really appreciate the fact that we had to read these articles. Although it was a bit tedious having to read five different ones, I liked the examples of good advertisements and overall it was an interesting subject to learn about.
You Should Buy a Puppy
Why should you adopt a puppy? Well to think that is even a question is beyond me, but if you desire an explanation and need convincing I will do just that. There are a few reasons as to why you would adopt a puppy. Those reasons including, but not limited to saving a life, puppies bring happiness, and they help your dating life.
Right off the bat, saving a puppies life. Most animal shelters and adoption agencies keep puppies around for a certain period for time ranging from a week to a month before they euthanize the poor puppy. I do not know about you, but I could not look myself in the eye knowing that I could have saved a poor defenseless puppy from death if I had just went and adopted it. Now if your fine with the blood on your hands, then I guess that’s ok with you, but I won’t be ok with you so go save that puppy.
As if you need to be convinced even further, puppies have been scientifically proven to bring joy and happiness to their owners. On many college campuses there are events that go on where people sign up to spend time with a puppy or a dog for some amount of time. These events usually take place around the time of big testing weeks such as midterms and finals as that is when students are most stressed according to studies. Spending some glorious time with a little bundle of fur and joy is a great way to take the edge off of that stressful week you just had, so why not? Why not just adopt that cute little thing that will bring you happiness by just spending a little time with it and you get to save a life? Happiness overload.
Onto the last reason and most devious, puppies help with your dating life. Do you find yourself single for extended periods of time? Do you wish you had someone there for you? Do you have trouble finding a partner? Well wait no more! Puppies are here! Take a look at any college campus and you will find anyone with a puppy surrounded by people absolutely in love with your puppy and since they are in love with your puppy they automatically love you just a little bit. That was easy. You literally just adopted a puppy, took it for a walk and already have a lot of people interested in you. Now just strike up a conversation that does not even have to be good because they will be so distracted by playing with your puppy to notice the terrible conversation to care. Then invite them over one day for a puppy play date, throw on some Netflix when the puppy gets are tired out and starts cuddling on the couch and then your new relationship starts.
That is why you should adopt a puppy. Improved dating life, life saver, and improved happiness are just a few of the reasons you want to adopt that puppy.
This is definitely a persuasive genre because Brady is telling the reader all of the reasons why they should do something. The purpose of this document is to encourage the reader to go out and adopt a puppy. Pathos is the main rhetorical appeal used when he writes about how puppies can be killed if they aren't adopted because that makes people sad to think about. The writing style is a sort of advertisement that everyone needs a puppy in their life because of all of the great things it will bring with it. The tone is smart and persuasive and the voice is making this piece different by applying a lot of the examples to college students. The design elements directed my attention to the fact that maybe I should get a puppy. Research has informed this piece somewhat because although there are no specific sources Brady includes examples of things that happen in real life which many people can relate to.
Writing Into the Day 11/10/15
My Kitten (Narrative Genre)
I’ve never been the girl who loves animals. My whole family is obsessed with our dog, Percy. We got him when I was in eighth grade, and I promise you I tried my best with him at first. But I guess I’ve just never seen the appeal of an animal who chews up your favorite clothes and chooses to empty their bladder all over your floor. I used to think I just didn’t have the right heart to appreciate animals, some people are just like that I guess! Until one day in sophomore chemistry class, I found my perfect baby kitten Ella. She is a tuxedo cat, meaning her fur is black all over, except for her stomach and back right paw which are snow white. She had a little pink nose and was so tiny she could sit in my hand. I knew right away I had to have her! I texted my mom right after class and to my surprise, after just a little convincing, she said yes! I talked to my teacher and we made arrangements for me to pick up Ella in just a few weeks. I got my room ready and bought cat toys, food, a litter box, and all of the other necessary supplies, I thought I was so prepared! However, once we got my baby kitten home, I realized I had no idea what I was in for. She was shy for just about the first ten minutes, and then immediately started trying to escape outside. When she realized that wasn’t an option, she began jumping up and down, scratching all of the furniture in my room. I didn’t know what else to do so I just covered my furniture and continued to let her jump around and get her energy out. I was so angry, I couldn’t believe she was acting like this! Then later that night when I was watching a movie, she came over, climbed onto my leg and promptly fell fast asleep. It was the cutest thing and the closest I’d ever felt to an animal. That’s when I realized that I understood why my family put up with our crazy dog. Even though I had never connected with him, they all felt like he was just another member of the family. I’m so happy I got the opportunity to experience that feeling with Ella.
