Looking back on one of the best decisions I've ever made in my life. Put off expressing my feelings for so long because it was such an amazing experience and I didn't know how to convey it into words. Going for #dovermissiontrip with the best team of people and seeing how real Jesus is in our lives and in the lives of the kids was truly unforgettable. We set off to be a blessing, but were greatly blessed instead. The past 4 yrs of my life have been a journey of me asking myself what the meaning and purpose of life was and just constantly feeling completely helpless and upset. I felt so empty and lost and would always ask myself "How do I as 1 person make a difference in this world?" I just didn't get the meaning of life. I remember a friend telling me that instead of asking 'what's the purpose of life?', I should ask 'what's God's purpose in my life?'. And I felt like my friend didn't understand me. But during the trip it hit me, I finally understood what he meant because that 1 week was the most FULFILLED I've ever felt in my entire life. Seeing the kids and their families saved and how God's love could transcend through us to them in such a short period of time even tho there was a language barrier, really made me realise how every single one of us who went, made a difference to someone's life one way or another. No matter how insignificant you think you are, God will use you to touch or save someone and it will be the most precious and fulfilling feeling you've ever felt. I thought it would be important to share this because I've had friends tell me recently that mission trip isn't something that they would go for, or it's because their friends aren't going (my friends pulled out last minute too haha). But I really want to urge anyone who hasn't gone before to go. Just go. Do it for yourself, and see what God has planned for you. You won't be disappointed and He will never shortchange you.
