For me being other hearted is somewhat of a private identity.

I identify with wolves psychologically and emotionally. It is a way for me to understand and contextualize my own behaviors and thoughts. It is a way for me to cope with my reality, encourage, and uplift myself.

I don't need other people to see me as a wolf. (I'm not a wolf, I'm a human who is connected to them). I don't need others to understand or validate my connection with wolves. At most I want other alter human friends who I can talk with and who understand my connection. At most I want a community with likeminded people.

It's not like my transness where I want others to see me as the genderfluid person that I am. It has nothing to do with how an outsider thinks I fit into human society or social norms.

It's just about how I understand myself privately.
