Fight For the Future - VPN Ball Bill (Deadline: September 25)
There’s a big storm coming for politicians who want to mess with our VPNs. Next Thursday, September 25th is the Defend VPNs Day of Action.1 We’re calling on VPN companies, influencers, and VPN users all over the world to take decisive action against the troubling trend of banning virtual private networks (VPNs), a vital privacy tool that helps circumvent online censorship and surveillance. As more and more governments choose age-gating and content blocking over real solutions to Big Tech greed,2 lawmakers from Michigan3 to the UK4 are considering bans on VPNs to force compliance with their draconian policies.
Our small but mighty team has been hard at work creating a comprehensive toolkit,5 building an action site,6 and securing press coverage.1 With just a week until the big day, all signs are pointing to havoc for censorship-loving decisionmakers. There’s only one problem—this fight needs funding. The politicians ripping away our privacy tools would love nothing more than for this movement to peter out before it even begins. With so much on the line, we can’t let that happen. Without big grants supporting this work, we need your help to power the inbox-stuffing, phone-melting wave of pressure required to stop VPN bans in their tracks. We’re raising $10,000 this week to fuel this Day of Action and sustain the fight to Defend VPNs. Can we count on your support?

Thanks for pitching in, and don’t forget to mark your calendar for next Thursday’s Day of Action. For none of these crap politicians, Lia at Fight for the Future

You can have my rights when you pry them from my cold, dead hands. I would no sooner surrender my rights than I would surrender my life, my heart, my sacred memory of all that came before. My rights tell the story of who I am, where I've come from, and what I've done. YOU. SHALL. NOT. HAVE. MY. RIGHTS!

I wish to support them.
I wish things could go back to normal.
The normal we took for granted.
Do not let them take your face.
