Claire Williams: āI think George is simply thorough - and a perfectionist. That can only be an advantage in the situation he finds himself in this year. He used to often tell a story from his karting days with his father when he was very young. Back then, many people called him 'Grandpa' because he behaved exceptionally maturely for his age. And I believe that this maturity is precisely what gave him this perfectionism. That's George: he wants to do everything to perfection."

During the 2018 F2 season, George Russell scored his second consecutive pole position in AUSTRIA and later went on to win the race.
Today, in his 2026 F1 season, George Russell is on his second consecutive pole position... in AUSTRIA šš

George got pole for exactly the reasons people were making fun of him. He knows the rulebook inside and out, so he knew he only had to lift for a single yellow. Kimi didnāt and abandoned his lap. Even if he hadnāt, he said himself in his interview that he didnāt think he wouldāve beaten George to pole anyway. And people calling it a āfake poleā annoy me to no end, especially after the stewards confirmed everything was legal and even Vasseur said there would be no further investigation.
I. Me. Mine.

Will always want to cry whenever I remember how Niki props George to people and say that George will be a future world champion ššš
