It is gorgeous!

As for the pit rage. I'm thinking nonphysical internal mind control. At most semi sentient. Jason gets minor changes to his eyes. As he has it longer it occurs less. But is still something that can crop up. Initially it is capable of taking over entirely. But he seems to get slightly better over time. It can only affect himself. And it seems to amplify his anger more than anything else. At the start I'm pretty sure he would not snap out of it until he was absolutely spent. This is really interesting!
