The believers of the "Anakin mind tricked Padme into falling in love with him" theory suffer from the same mistake: The inability to acknowledge that, yes, Padme, is also a human being too (which is a mistake Sabé makes in the comic the Queen's Shadow, where Padme herself tells Sabé, in an exasperated voice "I'm more than Amidala, you know?"), they only see the queen and the senator, which coincidentally, it's the exact same attitude those who associated with her display (and I bet my ass that that they are also unable to see that women are people too).

No, kids, Anakin didn't mind trick Padme into falling in love with him, she did it because he was the only person who looked beyond the titles: With Anakin, Padme can simply be Padme, not Senator Amidala or Queen Amidala.

It’s always funny to see people who very openly don’t understand Padmé talk about how she’d behave and what decisions she’d make if she ever were put into their “potential or hypothetical” situations in where Anidala (the driving force of the whole story.) doesn’t happen and the method to erase Anidala’s grand love is always some cop-out bullshit like “Anakin realizes he’s in love with OWK and sees Padmé as his substitute mom.”
