What's in Pan Cold (판콜)?

In South Korea, there are certain medicines that are sold over-the-counter in convenience stores. So if you caught a cold, no need to go to a pharmacy!

I’ve been taking Pan Cold A (판콜) to help curing my not-that-bad-but-still-unpleasant cold. Three small 30ml bottles cost 2400 Won (ca. 1,60€). The ingredients are pretty standard, one bottle contains:

Acetaminophen (= Paracetamol) 300mg: pain reliever and fever reducer

Guaifenesin 80mg: expectorant

Pentoxyverine Citrate 15mg: cough suppressant

Phenylephrine HCl 10mg: nasal decongestant

Chlorpheniramine maleate 2.5mg: antihistamine

Caffeine anhydrous 30mg: pure caffeine, accelerates the effect of Paracetamol.

Take up to three per day, about 30 minutes after a meal. (1일 3회 식후 30분에 복용합니다.)

Update: Two days later the cold was gone :D
