I got my Grace back.
[ I wanted to see what I'd look like with blue eyes. ] [ Original pic: (x) ]
Raising Hell
Sam, Dean, and Castiel all figured it’d be best to get excited over Abaddon’s death after Mere was rested. So, instead they broke into the groceries after putting them away and took out what they wanted Castiel to try.
"Hey, Cas," Dean said, "Sammy and I want you to at least see what a pickle taste like." He then opened the jar, and took one out handing it to Cas. He had one himself, and gave one to Sam and they started eating it.
Cas took the pickle from Dean, and stared at it. “It’s texture… is weird…” He said, hesitant on eating it.
"Dude, come on, it’s just a cucumber dipped in juice." Sam said, chuckling at the angel’s reacting already.
Cas stared at it for a little longer, “This better be good.” He said, and took a bite out of it and he made an instant sour face. This reaction got both boys to start cracking up.
"Come on, Cas, they aren’t that bad!” Dean said, patting the angel on the back, laughing.
Cas put the rest of his pickle on the counter and shook his head, “This is disgusting, Sam…” he said and looked to Dean, “Dean…” The angel licked his lips, and spit out what he tried eating on the ground.
"Whoa, whoa, hey Cas!" Sam said, "pick that up!"
"No…" The angel replied, "you can clean that up for making me eat that…. evil thing."
Sam shook his head and grabbed a paper towel, cleaning up Castiel’s mess. “Dude, you gotta try something more sour. Like candy.”
"I’m not trusting you anymore with food." Cas said, "why did you do that? I haven’t done anything to you. I just helped you end Abaddon."
"Ah, Cas," Dean said and shook his head smiling, "what would we do with out you?"
"Well… you wouldn’t be doing anything." He said, "You’d still be in Hell… and Sam… I don’t know what you’d be doing."
"Well thanks, Captain Obvious." Dean said, "but.. that’s not how I meant it."
Cas looked to the hunter with squinted eyes, and tilted his head, “Well… what did you mean?” he asked.
Dean laughed, and placed his hand on the angel’s shoulder, “Cas… just keep doing what you’re doing,” He said, patted his shoulder and went in the fridge and got a beer for him and Sam.
Sam left the kitchen with his beer to go sit and watch TV. Dean sat at the kitchen able with Castiel and smiled at the angel. They had a lot to celebrate. Castiel however gave up on liking pickles and decided to try something else. He decided it was safe to go with the animal crackers he’d picked out. Dean watched him examine each animal before eating it. The elder Winchester smiled and shook his head.
"So what now?" Castiel asked.
"Well, Crowley goes back to running hell and we continue to do what we do", Dean shrugged, taking a sip of his beer.
"Saving people and hunting things", Castiel nodded, "Can I Come?"
"You wanna be a hunter again?" Dean wanted to know.
"If you’ll have me along", Castiel said, looking from the table to him.
"Yeah. Sure. Of course", Dean replied, "Me and Sammy could use the help. Meredith is probably going to go on extended leave here soon, so", he shrugged.
Castiel nodded, “The three amigos”, a smiled tugged at his lips.
Dean smiled and he hadn’t felt that smile on his face in the past four years. Not since he could remember. But it was there now.

Raising Hell
Crowley had grabbed Sam and the two, while Crowley held Meredith close to his side, started loading the impala full of the groceries they had started scanning earlier. Sam got into the impala and put it into reverse, getting it back out into the parking lot. Crowley picked Meredith up, carrying her out to the car and put her in the back seat. He stood by the open door, hands in his coat pockets. Dean and Castiel hurried out of the store, having stabbed and killed Abaddon. Dean had given Castiel the blade before the trance took over again.
"Thanks Cas", Dean said, once they were outside, "You okay?"
"Yes", Castiel nodded, "She only got me in the arm and I can heal myself so that was a bad plan on her part", he nodded.
"Alright, love birds we can heal our wounds in the car once we get out of here", Crowley spoke up.
Sam let Dean get into the drivers seat and the boys had Castiel sit between them up front while Crowley and Meredith rode in the back. Crowley had his arm still around his wife’s shoulders. Castiel unfroze everything once they were a couple of miles away from the store.
"Sam, what did you do to baby?" Dean wanted to know.
"I drove her through a wall to save Meredith?" Sam offered with an innocent shrug.
Dean rolled his eyes, “Your on a four month suspension of ever driving my car”, he waved a hand, he turned and glanced at the demon, “And you Fergus McDouchebag, if you ever pull something like that again, I will kick your ass from here to Purgatory!”
"Meredith are you alright?" Castiel asked, turning to look at her slightly.
"I’m fine", She nodded, resting against Crowley, she was very tired and warn out and shaken a bit. "Just tired".
When they got back to the bunker, the three took turns carrying the groceries inside and putting them away while Crowley carried Meredith to her room, as she had fallen asleep on the ride back. He smiled, laying her on her bed, kissing her forehead and just sitting on the edge of the bed, watching over her.

[ Behind Blue Eyes, The Who ] ↪ "But my dreams, they aren't as empty as my conscience seems to be."
Raising Hell
Meredith and Sam could hear food being thrown and shelves being knocked over. Meredith had calmed down enough to think. She held Sam in her arms. At that moment Abaddon had gotten Castiel off her a third or forth time as she came around the aisle and caught sight of the redhead. Meredith whipped around, getting to her feet quickly. Holding Sam in her arms. Abaddon smiled in a devilish way.
"I was hoping to have some girl talk with you", Abaddon said.
"Girl talk this Aba-douche!" Sam yelled, taking out his toy gun, not hesitating to spray Abaddon in the face, making the demon scream.
Meredith took a breath and bolted with her spot. An angry Abaddon on her heels. Castiel saw Meredith and Sam from one of the shelves and poofed down just in time to confuse the demon. Meredith ran outside with Sam and set him down, realizing she’d left Dean and Cas inside. She knelt down and put her hands on Sam’s shoulders.
"Sam, I need you to go to the car and stay there, alright?" Meredith said.
"But-" Sam looked at her, getting upset.
"You gotta be brave Sam", Meredith told him, "I gotta go get Dean and Cas".
Sam’s mouth fell open as he watched her run back inside. She’d given him the keys to the impala before having gone in. Sam stared down at his feet, getting angry at Abaddon. He’d lost his mother and father because of Azazel and now this bitch was going to hurt Meredith and his brother! Sam ran for the impala, determined to save them.
- -
Meredith had run back into the store to find Dean and Castiel when she saw Castiel flying through the air. Dean was coming back towards the front of the store just as Abaddon spotted Meredith again. Crowley came to a stop, having been trying to find a way to stop Abaddon.
"No!" Crowley shouted, looking helpless and horrified.
Abaddon pushed Meredith the ground and tightened her grip around her neck. Meredith tried to get her off of her. Crowley snapped his fingers and made Dean normal sized again. Dean looked confused and then spotted Crowley. Following the demon’s angry gaze, Dean saw what was happening. Crowley waved his hand, running in to save his wife, making Abaddon hit the nearest wall.
"Darling, are you alright?" Crowley asked, pulling Meredith into his arms.
Meredith hugged him close as Castiel poofed near them and looked over at Dean. Dean was holding the first blade and advancing on Abaddon.
Crowley, deciding that this was an important moment, decided he'd turn Castiel and Sam back to normal. With the snap of his fingers, the two men were their regular ages and the height they used to be, "Thought it was necessary. You two can't do much when you're still five. Though, I have to admit, baby angel is still pretty tough." Crowley said.
Castiel just glared at the demon, and looked to Dean going towards Abaddon.
"We can't just let him go up against her alone!" Sam said, putting his hand out and pointing.
Castiel held his hand to Sam, holding him back, "Don't do anything stupid, Sam." The angel said, "he has the blade. If anything happens, I will distract her."
"Cas she already had you thrown around," Sam said, shaking his head, "I know he has the blade... but he's still human!"
Cas sighed, "I have an idea Sam, just give it a few more minutes."
Abaddon smiled seeing Dean approaching her, "Cain's blade?" She chuckled, "Sweetie, that'll only work if you have the Mark."
Dean laughed right back at her, "Darling, I'm way ahead of you on that one," he said and rolled up his sleeve to reveal the Mark of Cain.
"That's... impossible..." she said, a hint of fear in her voice. She knew this was an advantage on their part, but then she put back the look of pride on her face, "But can you really kill me, Winchester?"
"Oh," Dean said and shook his head, "you really underestimate me that much?"
"Come on," she laughed, "come get me, Dean." Abaddon started to run, and the elder Winchester chased after her. He had to jump over a few things, and she used her powers to create obstacles for him this time.
There was a crash heard, and Crowley sighed, "Any day now, Cassie," he said, "go fight that bitch. I'll stay and protect Mere," he replied and put his arm around her. Sam stayed behind as well, seeing as Cas wouldn't let him come - and he knew Cas would attempt to threat him.
The angel poofed away, and found Dean and Abaddon. Dean was thrown into one of the shelves, that was now broken and food scattered everywhere. "Abaddon." Castiel said, making her turn around. He went to fight her, but she caught him off guard by grabbing his arm and stabbing him.
Dean saw this, and having Cas fall to the ground after being stabbed by the demon they wanted most dean, only made him more mad, plus the effects of the blade added on top. He grabbed the blade that he let go during the crash, and ran up behind the demon, "Adios, bitch," he said and swung the blade at her head - killing her.
Cas, still on the ground looked to Dean. Through the stab wound, his grace shined through, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle. He faced things like this before; and it was merely a mosquito bite to him. The angel stood, healing himself.
Raising Hell
Meredith ran to the other end of the store, Sam holding her hand and trying to keep up with her. She had panicked so fast she forgot Castiel and Dean. Her heart was pumping quickly and she ducked around the large case of apples in the produce section. She set Crowley down and then sat with her back up against the large crates, sitting on the floor.
"Mere? Mere are you okay?" Sam asked, looking upset.
Crowley’s face fell into concern and he went to her side. Meredith tried to calm herself down, closing her eyes and taking deep breathes. She turned to look at Crowley after a second or so. Whatever he’d down previously, she didn’t care. She was scared. She didn’t want him to get hurt. Seeing the look in his wife’s eyes was all the demon needed and a second later, he was back to his age and normal size. Being back to normal, he knelt down and took her hand, kissing it.
"Don’t worry my queen, I shall protect you", Crowley told her, "Moose, your the man of the house until i get back", he told Sam.
Meredith smiled up at the demon and watched him go try and stop Abaddon. She turned back to Sam, who came over and sat next to her, hugging her.
"It’s gonna be alright, Dean will come find us and everything will be fine", Sam replied.
Meanwhile as the demons of Abaddon’s entered the store, Castiel and Dean were pretending to read magazines at the magazine rack. They were so small, that the demon didn’t even recognize them. Dean tugged Castiel’s trench coat and the two bolted for an aisle. Castiel grabbed Dean and poofed them ontop of a shelf.
"Hey Abadouche!" Dean called, cupping his hands around his mouth.
Abaddon frowned and whirled around to see them up on a shelf. Dean wanted to get her attention so she wouldn’t go after Mere and Sam and try to hurt them. He needed to buy them some time.
The angel thought it would be a better idea if he froze everyone around them so they wouldn't question or realize what went on or what was happening. That's exactly what he did, all except for himself of course, Dean, Meredith, Sam, Crowley and Abbadon.
"Whoa!" Dean said, "Cool!"
"Bad ass baby in a trench coat!" Castiel said, smiling and faced Dean. Being distracted like he was, Abbadon chuckled and used her powers to send then angel flying off of the top of the shelf.
"Hey!" Dean said, grabbing a pringles container of onion and garlic chips, "Nobody throws my angel! I already went through this with the King of Douche!" He shouted and started to pour them on top of her, and when it was empty he threw the container at her head and pushed the boxes on the top shelf off and on top of her.
She fell over due to this, and Dean took his chance to jump off to the other side and help Castiel out. Cas took Dean's hand and began running to find the others, "Come on, Dean, you gotta find some place safe! Go find the others!"
Abbadon caught up with the two, and they took a turn down another isle, and then another trying to lose her any way that they could. They kept taking things off shelves as they ran by them, and having them fall on the floor to slow the demon down. To create an obstacle, hopefully for her so they had more time to kill.
"Cas, I'm not going to leave you by yourself!" Dean said, "I'm staying with you."
"Go, Dean!" Cas said, and pushed him. Dean looked to Cas for a moment, and saw Abbadon with her head turned the other way, looking for them.
"Be safe, Cas," Dean said and ran away and started searching for the others.
"Hey, Abbadouche!" Cas shouted, and started waving his hands.
She turned to face him and smiled, "There you are, you little pest." She said, and started making her way down. Castiel then turned himself invisible and popped up behind her.
"I'm over here!" He said.
Abbadon turned, "Stop doing that!" She snapped, but Castiel did it again and popped up on to the shelf. The angel then took the big risk at jumping on top of her back while she wasn't facing him, and she was startled by it and kept trying to take him off of her, and when she came around to doing so, she managed to throw him across the store, and broke a few boxes that got in the way.
That didn't manage to take the angel down just yet, "Really? I'm not going to stop that easily!" He said, and started to run after her again. Going invisible, and popping up around her once more trying to confuse her.
Raising Hell
As some of the store staff ran over to clean up the melons, Meredith went over and picked up one of the smaller ones that hadn’t rolled out of the box and placed it in the cart. They moved away so the store clerks could clean up the mess. She assured Castiel that it wasn’t his fault and gave him a smile. After a while of shopping, the cart was getting full. Dean and Sam had gotten things they liked and a few things they wanted Castiel to try and Meredith had pretty covered everything she’d need.
"We almost forgot about ice cream!" Dean stated, "But there’s no more room after we got the paper towels and bathroom stuff".
Meredith glanced at the cart for a moment. Wondering how to fit everything. Crowley noticed his wife’s face. He smiled. ”Don’t worry love”, Crowley told her, smiling and poofing himself out of the cart, “There. You have room for anything else”. He gestured now standing at her side.
"Thanks sweetie", Meredith smiled at him.
Sam was about to ask if he could carry her because his feet were getting tired but Crowley seemed to sense this and just smiled, innocently raising his arms up to the redhead. Meredith smiled, not being able to resist and picked him up. Sam glared up at the demon as Crowley laid his head against Meredith’s shoulder, looking victorious. Meredith was now carrying Crowley and pushing the cart with one hand.
"Alright if you guys want to pick anything else up as we go, do so now", she smiled at them.
"We've got all we want!" Dean said, seeing as Cas and Sam didn't want to speak up.
"Alright, then let's go check out the food!" Mere said. Dean, Sam, and Cas nodded and the two brothers started to run over to the self check out(s).
Castiel followed behind them, "Guys, wait up!" He hollered. The three boys all waited for Meredith to come over with the groceries along with Crowley.
"How does this thing work?" Castiel asked, scanning the belt and price scanner with his eyes.
"We'll show you!" Dean said, "but these things are sensitive. You gotta be careful with how you place things."
"If it's sensitive then why are we using it?" Cas asked, looking to the brothers with squinted eyes.
"Well, if we're lucky it will work like it should!" Dean said, "but it sure as Hell beats waiting in those lines." He then pointed to where every other customer happened to be, waiting on their food to be scanned by an employee.
"That makes sense." The angel said.
Meredith then came over and Sam climbed on the back of the carriage and started handing foods for Dean to scan. "Cas, you put them in the bags and Sammy you hand the foods to me!"
"Oh look, at least they're bright enough to create a system." Crowley said, "wonder how long it will last."
As the machine started talking, Cas looked to Dean, "Dean? Why is there a lady in the machine?"
"Out of all people, I figured the baby in the trench coat would be smartest of you three..." Crowley said, rolling his eyes.
"Hey! He's never done this before, cut him some slack!" Dean said, sticking up for the angel.
"Everyone in their right mind knows there's no lady in the bloody machine!" Crowley snapped back. Castiel was putting food Dean handed to him in the bag, and then he looked up with a frown on his face.
"You made him upset!" Sam said.
Crowley just rolled his eyes and shook his head, "For the love of... get over it, Cassie!" Cas looked away, putting another item in a new bag, and was still frowning from the demon's remarks.
"It's okay, buddy." Dean said and patted the angels back. When Cas looked at him to grab the next item, Dean smiled which made Cas smile back.
Meredith then looked out the window, and noticed a familiar woman demon in the parking lot. She then realized who it was, "Boys, run!" She said, and grabbed Sam and Crowley in her arms and ran some place to hide in the store.
"Mere!" Dean and Cas shouted in unison.
"Mere! Wait-" Dean said and noticed Abbadon, "ah, crap..." he said, grabbing the angels hand and searching for Meredith, Sam, and Crowley.
Raising Hell
Meredith smiled and nodded, “Go get some pie”, she decided.
Dean and Cas raced off to the bakery section while Meredith continued to push the cart, Sam walking alongside her. Crowley turned back to Meredith and smiled up at her.
"You should get some healthy food for you and the baby, darling", Crowley said. He might be five at the moment but that wasn’t going to stop him from taking care of her.
She smiled and kissed his forehead, making the demon smirk happily. Sam just rolled his eyes. Meredith stopped at one aisle and looked over some natural fruits and trail mix. Dean and Cas returned with two small things of apple pie and some cheese cake for Meredith.
"We’d thought you like that", Cas smiled.
"Aw! Thanks guys", Meredith smiled, putting it in the cart.
"Boys, Meredith needs milk and meat like hamburger", Crowley said, pointing to the list, "We need food so she can be healthy".
"I’m only getting it because Mere needs it, Crowley", Dean said, glaring up at him, "And we’re out of milk cause Sammy had at the last bowl of cereal".
"Ugh", Castiel said, noticing a jar on a shelf, "Mere, I think that’s evil or something".
Sam laughed, “No Cas. Those are pickles”.
"Do they taste like heaven?" Castiel asked.
"Nah! They taste sour", Dean said, "Like Crowley’s personality".
"Those," Sam said, "are actually cucumbers, Cas."
Cas looked to Sam confused, "No they aren't," he started, "I've seen what cucumbers look like. They don't look like that, Sam, I think you're mistaken."
"Does the blasted angel really not know these things?" Crowley asked, getting annoyed with the added company of the two hunters and angel.
Sam ignored Crowley's comment, and turned back to Cas, "They're just in a kind of juice. Pickle juice." He said, "I happen to think they taste good." Sam then proceeded to place a jar in the cart, "you should try one later, maybe you'll like it."
"Dude, if he can taste all the molecules in PB & J, then correct me if I'm wrong... he'll taste much more in those sons of bitches." Dean said.
"Never hurts to try," Sam said.
The continued to walk down another isle, and into the open space of the grocery store. Cas saw the huge cardboard box of watermelons, and rushed over to it and waited for them to all catch up. "Mere, this is watermelon? I've heard of it before. Can we get some?" He asked, excited for it.
Mere smiled down at the angel, "Sure we can, Cas," she said.
Cas got excited and though his wings were invisible they still could mess things up. They fluttered and when he went to turn to grab a watermelon, the whole thing fell apart and out rolled all the melons. "Heaven didn't train me for this!" Castiel replied.
"Uhh.. what just happened?" Sam asked.
"Maybe if you had control over your feathered friend, his blasted wings wouldn't get in the way and destroy everything!" Crowley snapped.
"Whoa, your wings did that?" Dean asked, "Cool!"
Raising Hell
Crowley just leaned against Meredith’s arm. The best he could for now to be near her. Meredith sighed, glad the fighting stopped. At least the rest of the car ride would be quiet enough. She was glad when they got to the parking lot of the grocery store. She let them out of the car and they went to the back of the trunk. She lifted it open and then fitted the kids, except Crowley, with a toy water gun with holy water in it. She gave Dean and Sam small bags of salt and put them. She then took out a gun and put it in the back of her jeans, closing the trunk.
"Cas, you have that sharp blade?" She asked him.
Castiel nodded and opened his coat to reveal his angel blade and then closed his jacket again. Sam and Dean hid their toy guys and salt from sight and Crowley just put his hands in his coat pockets. Castiel took Meredith’s hand while Crowley walked on her right, Sam walking in front of her and dean walking just behind Cas. Once they got inside, Meredith grabbed a cart. One of the regular ones. She lifted Crowley up and set him in the small seat and handed him the grocery list she’d started for the bunker from the day before. He smiled up at her, loving her attention.
"Brown noser", Sam muttered.
Crowley stuck his tongue out, “Jealous moose?” He smirked.
"Shut up", Sam muttered.
"Mere look!" Dean said, pointing to a nearby table and interrupting anymore squabbles.
"That’s not on the list!" Crowley said, pointing to the piece of paper.
Dean rolled his eyes, “Your like the most OCD demon ever!” He threw up his hands.
Meredith half laughed, “Lets start getting everything that’s on the list first and then we can do choose what to get”, she said.
"My love is right", Crowley agreed.
"Awww! Are these yours?" Another woman asked, making Meredith and the boys glance over.
Meredith stalled for a second, “This is my son, Castiel”, She said, touching the top of Castiel’s head and smiling, “Sleepover”.
"He looks just like you", the other woman smiled at Castiel.
"Mom’s having another one", Castiel took his thumb out of his mouth to point to Meredith’s stomach, "My brother", he paused, thinking of the first name he could think of, "Gabriel. Right mom?" He looked up at her.
Meredith smiled and nodded.
The woman smiled down at Castiel then looked back at Meredith, "How adorable," she said and went off on her own way again.
Dean was walking down the isle, followed by Cas. Sam was on the other side of the isle looking at things he'd want to get. Dean kept putting his own items in to the carriage, and Castiel watched. Taking one thing out then angel looked at the box, "Dean, this looks disgusting."
"Ah, come on Cas, you can't say that. You don't even know what it taste like!" Dean said, taking the box back.
"I don't eat, Dean," the angel responded, "but... what does it taste like?"
"This..." Dean said, holding up the box so Cas could look at it, "this is Heaven."
Cas made a squinted look, "...That doesn't look like Heaven, Dean," he replied.
"Well, we're getting it anyways," Dean said and placed the box back in the carriage. Sam started putting his usual healthy foods into the cart and Dean stuck his tongue out in disgust, "Rabbit food? Really?"
"Yeah well," Sam said, "when you're older, you'll regret that food, Dean."
"I was older Sam!" Dean said, "and I don't regret a single thing!" The "eldest" Winchester said, with his arms out. Sam just rolled his eyes and went back to picking out foods he'd prefer.
Cas then found something on the shelf, "Animal Crackers?" He asked, "Does this look good to you, Dean? Would you eat this? Where's the pie... did you get pie yet?"
"Those things are delicious, Cas, get them!" Dean said, and turned to Mere, "can I get pie!?" He asked, excited.
"Apple pie," Cas added in, "I want to try some."
