Like dean is so sexualised and preyed upon during the 15 years we know him, by demons and even fellow hunters (“delicate features for a hunter”), even lisa makes their break-up scene uncomfortable by commenting on how good he is in bed, so by 15x18 that man is in desperate need of hearing he is loved, he is not just a body, and i think that, while problematic, it is also beautiful that cas’ love confession asked nothing of dean, that was just a selfless gift cas gave him
