Sometimes I remember Moss Roses exist (not as in non-rosa species that are called moss-roses, I mean actual Rosa cultivars that look like they are covered in moss only that moss growth is from the ACTUAL ROSES THEMSELVES),

and I’m just like what in the ever living fuck is going on with those. The literature I ever find them speaks of them in such passing and you don’t see much even online on them (at the very least with their iconic moss-like growth all over them) if you try to google them and it’s almost criminal. TELL ME MORE. WHY ARE THEY LIKE THAT?? You can’t just MENTION in passing such an anatomically unusual rose and then be just move on like they’re a footnote ffs.
