"No one can ever know about you, they'll think we're crazy if they ever saw this."
“Because you’re… disgusted by me.”
The words are barely a growl, and he is not willing to sugar coat anything. Karamatsu isn’t stupid, maybe mixed up, but never stupid.
“Wouldn’t getting rid of me…. Be easier?”
“Is that what you seriously think? That I’m disgusted by you? Why do you think I did this to you, Karamatsu? I did it so you could keep on living.”
Choromatsu frowned at his brother’s words, hurt. He turned away from him and twiddled his thumbs, thinking. “Do you want me to get rid of you…? Are you that unhappy with your life here with me? With my assistant? We keep you fed and watered, we let you go out sometimes… I-I just… I can’t risk letting the townsfolk see you.”
The elder looked like he wanted to say something, but only glared and turned away, head down as though ashamed of something he hadn't even done in the first place. "Nevermind." He was just going to pretend like he wasn't able to talk again-- this conversation was pointless, like it always had been. They would never understand and trying to make them was just hurting his family.
He hated it- no one was willing to question why things had ended this way anyways, why he had ended up dead in the first place.
