I attended an anti-suicide seminar in college. One of the big takeaways from it was that stigmatizing suicide increases the rate of suicide, because people who are feeling suicidal feel like they can't ask for help. Every time I see babytalk garbage like 'unalive', I think of that.

Western society is obsessed with this idea of innocence, and that only the innocent must be saved and sinners deserve what they get. But because Western society also heavily misconstrues Christianity and people think that Christianity teaches that "we are all sinners before the eyes of the Lord*," we create this fucked up priority scale of who needs saving first, based on this perceived levels of innocence, with animals on top, followed by the unborn, then babies, then children (the definition of which varies), then adult women (only so they can take care of the children), and finally adult men.
