In Syria not a single tent was put up on the borders to accommodate for refugees across the years, houses were opened, streets were vacated and cities were renamed to allow for refugees to feel at home. Let it be written in the history books and let the generations remember, that when a Syrian needed help and refuge; borders were closed and the world looked away.

I was very me all along

My values and the decisions I make in life around those values are basically everything to me. I always thought I was completely unaware of them until about 6 years ago. I was recently thinking about some of the things I did in high school and how I was probably this way all along I just didn't really know it. - In year 7 I wrote a paper on Mother Teresa and ended it noting that she was actually kind of a dick for preventing women access to abortion - In year 9 I based a term long project on charities and mainly the Red Cross(!) - In year 10 we had to write a paper on a historical moment in society, I wrote about Roe V Wade - In year 12 we had to give an oral presentation and I did mine on marriage equality (11 years ago!) I wish I had gotten to where I am now in a different way and I feel sad that being at a conservative private school I did these things but was never nurtured to do more. I am here now though and stubborn as all get out if you don't agree with me :)
